got another blink today after selling my first one a few months ago. i forgot how luscious this yoyo is. i really dig the unengraved gunmetal ano as well. pretty sure ill be holding on to this one for a while. still havent thrown an e=mc2, sort of keen on trying one to see how it compares to the blink but im really set on trying to minimize my collection atm.
Is the gunmetal gray a v2 Blink? I have a gold v1 and it used to play so wellâŚuntil I stripped it about a week ago
im not aware of there being more than one variation of the blink? i could certainly be mistaken though. this one plays lighter than i remember my last one playing but i imagine that is just my memory playing tricks on me.
about a week agooo
never heard of a v2 blink either
From what I know, gunmetal Blink was sold only as B-grade. It was available at EYYC and maybe at their last sale.
I confirm, sold only as a b-grade and without laser engraving at events and on the recreationâs store.

Two colors left, gotta get 'em all!
Today I heard a third person say he prefer the triad to the draupnir.
So now the score is 3 to 500,000.
But they are all asian
THAS RAYSIST!
derpnir is in stock again
Why does YYE list the Triad at 64.9g but other places have it at 66?
For the record I have now had my red EMS capped Attack Schneider or whatever it is called for a few days. This is supposed to be the version with more vibe. My early opinions are as follows:
- It does have a small amount of vibe, but much less than some throws, and much less than one of my original Schneiders
- Despite the odd plastic bits, it is one of the best put-together throws Iâve seen. The ano is utterly flawless, and is a beautiful vibrant color. The finish is not as âstickyâ as the SY-002 and grinds really pretty well
- The brass inlay is perfect. Not just quite good. Immaculate.
- The plastic components actually feel fine. Theyâre solid, donât wobble, and arenât likely to fall out.
- The shape is funky, it feels in the hand the way I would imagine the Lesula does
- I think itâs superb. Actually, it is nothing like the Schneider, but itâs quirky and different and really really fun. It plays much lighter than the specs would suggest. I may even call it floaty.
Honestly it just feels much tighter as a product than the original Schneider. I donât know whether I prefer it yet, but itâs just infinitely a more polished end result. The plastic parts donât seem cheap or tacky. I wouldnât say ignore your worries about them, but at least let me assure you they arenât anywhere near as bad as you might imagine.
Finally back to the YYR. I have a âBOBâ question. Has anyone thrown one of these guys a lot? If so, is there anyone who can comment yet on the longevity of the finish. Is there any degradation of the color in the catch zone and/or is it really trivial to scratch?
Iâve had the original black matte Draupnir since whenever it came out and havenât had any issues with the ano wearing down in the catch zone or in the hub from finger spins, no scratches in the ano anywhere either. It is one of my most thrown yoyos, though Iâm sure I play way less than the average yoyoer. If I was good at finger spins and did them more I suspect it would wear down the ano in that area, but I imagine that any yoyo would.
When you have it for a bit longer, a full review would be appreciated.
Curious question, to those with draupnirs, have you damaged yours at all yet?
My draupnir has a scratch or two, and that makes me
Nope
Canât believe how quickly all the Draupnirs sold out on this restock. Considering selling mine but I would really like to get my hands on a Palpitation first.
