You guys are really grasping at straws hereā¦itās a black Draupnir identical to the gold Draupnir in every respect except its coating.
And Naoki, how do you know it wonāt say āAttuned Draupnirā on it anyway? They probably didnāt update the image since it was such a limited release.
Iāll post pics when I get mine to see if it actually says Attuned, though I donāt see why it matters. May be a while though. I wonder if they shipped mineā¦I bought it right when it was released but then today they say theyāre delaying shipments until July 13, because of AP2014, even though that only runs through July 6. Why do they need another week? Anyway, if that statement applies to purchases made before that notice was put up thatās pretty lame, and just unprofessional. You donāt sell product for $240 and then sit on it for two weeks.
I havenāt been sent a tracking number so Iām guessing theyāre delaying.
They sent me an email at 3am EST telling me itās shipped and it has the EMS tracking in it.

That statement is super vague. It could be an attempt to say āMattBlack model that released on 30/06/2014 also has wider gap as [an] Attuned Draupnir.ā Itās very common for Japanese to omit article adjectives, which they did here ([The] MattBlack modelā¦) at least once, and the English on YYR is somewhat halting and stiff. Iām not saying youāre wrong, but thereās not enough evidence to conclude one way or the other whether it says āAttuned Draupnirā or āDraupnirā on the yo-yo. The image is clearly the same image they used before. That leads me to believe youāre probably right but they may have just recycled the image rather than taking new ones.
In any case itās still an attuned Draupnir irrespective of whether āattunedā is used to mean literally āattunedā or as a backronym for āAkitoshi Tokubuchi Tuned.ā Itās the same model in a different color.
