Welp, you trust Ben alright.
I opened the box, passed out, and got up off the floor. :o Look at the dream premium splash Horizon in YoyoExpert colors! The Genesis had green stacks, but I changed them to white before the photo shoot.
Basically, the Trust Ben Mystery Pack had at about $400 worth of stuff in it, and we only paid $100. :o

Also, whats the weight of the titanium going to be? The donate site says 65.75, but I’ve seen 65.52 and 67.3 so…
If it goes 65.5<, then I will seriously have to whip out $200
The 67.x was the first proto; then Ben was working on getting it to the original projected weight. The weight still isn’t locked in, but I’m betting on less than 66g.
As for the “trust Ben”, I totally trust Ben… but it sold out before I even knew it existed. You guys got awesome deals. Dat VK doe!
I received my 7075 catalyst, man this thing is awesome. I wish I could jump on that Ti deal but I’m pretty sure my wife may kill me.

Very happy with the 2 perks I got though. 7075 Catalyst is a powerhouse and the 2014 Genesis without rings is very nimble and unique.
I wish I could have picked up the Catalyst. It looked great, but there was so much other stuff I had my eye on.
I hope they nevermind getting the weight exactly at what was initially suggested, and continue to focus on what will play best. They advertised that the details were not exact anyway, and would be slightly modified, (with updates). I’d like to see them continue to focus on the best result and make that the priority.

I will preface this by saying that I’ve got no hard feelings against anyone that had more money to purchase the Ti when I did not, but for YYF themselves.
Hate to be that guy, but I honestly wish I hadn’t helped out at all. I received my “B-Grade for anno flaws only” Shu Ta pair yesterday, sadly they were poorly misrepresented on the indiegogo. The anno flaws that were mentioned are definitely there, which bothers me not in the least, that’s why I bought them. Ben forgot to mention (actually indicated that there were none), the severe vibe issues. I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to tune the vibe out and I have been only mildly successful, and this is after I’ve Frankenstein’ed together one yoyo out of the 2 I purchased. Ben also forgot to mention in the ad that the bearings included were not going to be CTX, as ships with every other Shu Ta on the market, but flat bearings instead. Sadly, they couldn’t put the proper bearing in my 2 yoyos, nor ship throws without vibe issues, as advertised. Though, they can upgrade the Ti-perk bearing to gold-plated CTX’s. So let’s recap for a moment:
For $200, you get:
A Ti throw which will retail for $300.
Gold CT upgrade, $22.50.
Aluminum dream which will retail for $50.
And don’t mention the “trust Ben mystery,” retailing for over $400, at the price of $100.
And for my donation I received 2 yoyos that, if I want to get my money back out of, I would have to misrepresent them myself on the BST. This is not meant to start a flame war or an e-thug argument, just wanted to get this information out to the public. Think of it what you will. But I, for one, was really giving YYF a second chance (as a company) on this, and sadly I was severely disappointed.
That is a bummer Skinnybny. That is the gamble of b-grades.
Shouldn’t be when the company who produced and graded them says anno flaws only. But sadly I guess it is. I’ve learned my lesson about crowd sourcing and how much a company appreciates someone wanting to help make something happen for the community, even if they can’t afford it themselves. This is the last time I buy from/recommend a yoyoFactory throw. And here I’ve been shamelessly plugging them for a year.
Though like I said, no big deal, lesson learned, and will continue to live simply and try and regain the loss honestly. If anything, wish me luck, not pity.
