I’m very excited to see the 2013 G5 considering my first “Pro” yoyo was a 2010 G5.
The G5 is definitely a throw worth being brought back. It should be interestinf
Since you asked so nicely.
Stay well, everyone.
I have a undeniable genesis and its pretty dope but the side holes cause me to just not throw it for some reason
What is it with you guys lately? The slightest little misunderstood comment brings down wrath upon the poster. Lighten up kids.

Tell me about it. ;D
The OG Velocity was a good starter yoyo when just starting out with 1A.
I try to steer away from yoyofactory to be honest. But when I look at my collection, about half of them are from yoyofactory. They make nice throws but I have too many from yoyofactory.
I own about 24 Yoyofactory throws. That will increase after my purchases from this week’s YYF sale. My favorite YYF throw of all time is the Genesis. I have 4 of them, including small bearing and 7075. I also love the Catalyst too. My most recent purchase, before this week, was a surprisingly great for it’s price, little, well balanced, and smooth YYE Edition 2.0. If you get a chance, grab one of those while they are in stock. That Original Avant Garde is also sick. I love having it in my collection. That Delrin Severe is sweet!
But, I have one criticism…they need to make more Yoyoexpert Edition yo-yos. They do the colorway often, but we need to make it “official.” I’ve seen the colors on the HOT, Supernova, Gfunk, and Monster. Put a YYE logo on them more often like you did with the Genesis. Okay, enough negativity.
I love my YYF throws. Made by players for players. Tied with YYJ for recruiting the best Team too.
- They make my favorite yoyo!
- MORE!
This. 8)
The only problem i have with the company is that everytime someone says anything remotely anti-yyf on the forums, yoyofactory ben has to jump in like the frigin honor guard and give some pretentious defense with a subtle underlying insult even when one wasn’t needed in the first place.
I understand his point. If I had a company I would do the same thing. He is being honest about who he is, and if there’s “subtle underlying insult” maybe someone deserves it. Like op said, there’s lot of hate. I might hate some yoyos or companies but I dont talk trash about them because I know they are the best for someone. It’s all in the perspective, and the hate it’s the first thing that should not occur. This is a good community, we should help each other in the first place.
Those are just my cents… 8)
I don’t like my G5 that much. Love my other yyf throws though!
None of their yoyos ever really hit it off with me. Except the small bearing lunatic, which was an amazing yoyo and I deeply regret getting rid of mine. The equilateral was pretty snazzy too.
Also, there are some quality control issues ( bearing seats) that make me very cautious when purchasing YYF products.
HOWEVER, YYF is still one of my favorite companies because of what they do for the community. Tons of events and promotions to get more people in yoyoing. Wonderful.
YYF is a great company, but I wouldn’t necessarily prefer it over CLYW. YYF probably give you better value (unless we’re talking CLYW Fool’s Gold), but CLYW quality is undeniably better (for me at least).
Yoyo factory is a good brand but I don’t to buy a cheaply made yoyo that was made in china when I can buy a canidan made high end yoyo Like clyw, spyy, MDF so I prefer spending up too 200 dollars for a good high end yoyo instead of a yyf
Yoyofactory has given us some great deals this week, a nice way to give back to their loyal customers. Some of the best marketing I have seen in the business.
Also, YoyofactoryBen seems a lot more accessible on the forums than some of the other company owners. He has addressed any real issues people have raised in the past.
I enjoy the volume of product and variety in models and pricing that they offer.
Let’s try to keep the discussion on the yoyos, not the company, unless it’s good.
Look at you, creatin’ utopias and stuff.
I’ve never cared much for YYFs. I’m a huge BSTer, so I’m not drawn to yoyos that don’t move quickly. Plus I’m more for the ‘home-grown’ type.
However my first metal was a Genesis and I plan to keep it forever.
And please, everyone stop whining about their yoyos being made in China. 99% of your possessions are, so stop acting all high and mighty about buying yoyos made in the US or Canada.
I adore my OG Avant Garde. It’s just an exceptional yoyo, regardless of any misunderstandings that might still exist out there about its design history. It really stands tall in my collection.
yoyofactoryben is very active in the forums, which is all I ask from any company representative. Awesome!
Dying to get a Supernova. Always wanted a Genesis, too.
Time for some Yoyofactory eye candy. Here is my 2.0, still available in the store here, smooth little stable yo-yo.

That GFunk is so cool. Hope a bunch of super-cheap ones hit the BST soon…
I have mixed feelings about YYF. Take my 888x for example. I hate that things guts. So unstable, doesn’t play well, and is just , gah. However, I have a Northstar, and think it’s a great plastic. Also, the 2.0. I really like that yoyo. It just agrees with me. However, I have tried a Supernova 7075, and didn’t care for it. YYF is a good company and has a yoyo for just about every style. There is one issue I have with them that I’m not going to bring up here as it will start a riot (Ok, not really, but it always ends in a thread-lock).
