Anyone here use them? I get cuts and scrapes on my hands at work all the time so I was looking to pick one up, likely a Large Zeekio in black.
Thoughts, feelings, emotions?

They work good for that. But if your wearing 2 I have had trouble holding the yoyo with your throw hand. Also fun fact Billiards gloves are the same thing
I noticed that while browsing larger online retailers lol. I was mainly planning to keep it on my NTH, I didn’t even think about grip on the throw with it o my TH, thanks for the heads up!
I always use gloves on both hands. They’re good enough to protect your hands from impacts and strings. You have to get use to the feeling of the gloves and slipping. I personally use this New Feeling Nylon YoYo Glove – YoYoExpert
If I am about to yoyo for more than 20 minutes, I always wear gloves. I think it is more hygienic. I could be wrong but this is how I perceive it.
I have a pair of billard gloves which is the same thing as previously mentioned. The only downside is that if you try to do a complicated pinch during a complicated tech trick or formation, it may be more challenging than it should with the gloves.
But on the other hand…THE GRINDS!!! OMG!!!
I used to only yo-yo with gloves but a bit over a year ago I stopped (which I think has been helpful for slack tricks for me).
I’ll echo what Kris said about gloves being slippy, I never really had trouble holding the yo-yo itself but the slipknot can be in danger of coming loose (so I’d recommend double knotting).
Also, if you yo-yo a lot be prepared to replace your gloves quite often as well. I found that they get holes quite quickly along the outer edge of your indexes due to the string rubbing. Though maybe you can find some higher quality ones to reduce that.
What do you mean by double knotting. I usually take the finger loop, pass it through the string and create a slipknot. Like this, the string will not go anywhere. What is the reason behind double knotting? (So do you pass the string through the loop two times?).
Yes, you create a slipknot using the first slipknot. This way there’s more friction between the string and both your skin/glove and the other string. Therefore, the knot is less likely to loosen and then slip off.
Gonna try that tomorrow… I cannot see how the fatter double knot will not get in the way but I am really curious now…
I only use a glove on my non-throw hand.
Struggled with sizes, until I tried some billiard gloves that fit perfectly.
I Love using em! Definitely makes my strings cleaner for longer, but that isn’t much of a problem now that I mostly use markmont formulas
Been trying to do this myself when I first started and was suggested, but I suck at knots and pictures are effectively useless. Just decided to look up a video (again) to “re-learn”
Hope this helps https://youtu.be/d022tm6velA?si=4xLnqMggTclNNq3l
Tried it. Didn’t really like it. I will stay with the single knot.
