Yoyo Boomers Club

These would be the details that will come once it’s set up. I can’t speak to any of that.

Goal with the Pay it forward is Feedback. With this being the first prototype, we want to get as much Constructive Criticism as possible.

With this in mind, the longer it takes to get said feedback, the longer it takes to make changes and go to final production. (If we give every member a week, it will take over a year to go into production )

The Pay it Forward is available to any YYBC Member listed in the first post.

While feed back was considered from the community, there was a 4 person committee that did the behind the scenes work.

Mostly it was agreement with Mr. Jakes vision.

Full Details will be posted once the PIF Prototype is in my hands and I can get all the options packaged with it.

For example; A big point of contention was what weight this yoyo should be. On this Prototype, we went as light as possible. But I have 5 different weight ring sets that will fit. You can add up to 10 grams with this system for testing.

Maybe we can get Mr. @Overtinkering to do a video review for the club? Mr. @MattC is getting a Prototype, maybe he will post a video here as well?

Have fun.

I can’t wait to get mine in hand!

Understood, thanks for all that info! Although I’d love to play the proto and give feedback, its definitely already in beyond capable hands with everyone here. I’d hate to add an additional week to the wait when all of your collective feedback is already the best of the best. Don’t want to be an additional cook in the kitchen so to speak. I look forward to hearing what everyone has to say about it!

I respectfully Disagree.

If we get enough feedback in the first couple of months, we will move forward with production.

I would still like the Prototype to continue its journey to Members. We will just remove the expedited turnaround time frame from the initial PIF.

Well I’m certainly not going to argue with that. I do agree the more feedback the better.

Alright, I have a time sensitive question for all the YYBC members. I leave to a cabin in the woods for the next 5 days in a couple hours. What yoyo do I bring???

It’s between: No-Jive, ProFly, Butterfly, KNack, fixed RBC, Day Tripper, Gnomad, or El Mijo.

Too many options! But I want to bring only 1.

My opinion - Cabin in the woods = Wood. That eliminates half your list.

I personally would flip a coin between the KNack and the Gnomad. Heads = Knack, Tails = Gnomad.

However, knowing me I would take both.

I’m no help here. I would take them all.

This is true. I was already swaying toward the wood side of the spectrum. I suppose I should include the Jon Gates SE as well. But that’s really only if I want to challenge myself.

Should be fun and relaxing. I would leave the Gates out of the equation. I am sticking with my original answer.

No
Question for me it’s the no jive

That was the one I was initially planning to bring… but then the last minute intrusive yoyo thoughts started to creep in.

Yo I get it I start with one yoyo only next thing I know yoyo math happens and I have 12

Yoyo math is real. It’s always n+1.

Followed by…did I add that 1? Oh well I better just add 1 more to be safe…

For me, el mijo every time.

So when will the protos be shipping? Asking for a friend

edit: Also, are the weight rings coming with the protos as well? If not, could we get a list of the one’s being used in the PIF so we can pick them up to experiment as well?

Way back 4-500 posts ago the info given was as follows. All are 50mm OD o-rings of varying thickness. They were acquired from Grainger and could likely be ordered online through them.

Edit: 1000 POSTS PEOPLE !!!
