So 9 hours ago I read this as “Golden Waffle” instead, and just realized that was incorrect…but I pose a suggestion that we call whatever new throw might be on the horizon the “Golden Waffle” now, lmao. I dig that name.
I used to think the same thing about No Jives until I worked a bit more on mine and got it playing right. The advantage with No Jives is that you can tinker with them. Adjust the gap and add a response (like a turbo pad or Duncan pad). The downside is that they can take quite a bit of tinkering to get working right. It is truly a joy to play once you get there though. The shape is comfy and the balance is really nice.
I have a bit of lighter wood fixed axles, would be interested in something a little heavier potentially (unless that’s known to cause issues in wood fixies, then nevermind; don’t want to mess with a good thing, haha)
This is golden wattle with the thinnest possible coat of oil to keep my hands from staining it, would be darker with an evening spent in front of the TV working it with steel wool and a leather strop. This is about 60mm x 35mm and very light, not in the weight range people have mentioned. I love it though!
I like the clean look of the maple Stuff Up. Something like that with slightly rounded rims and a little cup, but not so much that it’s a variation of the Bloodcell.
If you’re keeping the workhorse theme I like Wooden Horse and Glen’s unicorn art in the SW logo
We can bring back the Pagoda style!
Just kidding, but I did like the unique look of those, even if it was more gimmicky.
“These YoYo Boomers can’t even assemble their throws correctly” Lmao!
Technically we are working proto v2 of the workhorse plan to do an unresponsive with G2 later and now have a wood spinworthy discussion so technically we are on 3 at this point
Not to mention to contest like events and a fundraiser (toy drive) last year. And a bunch of merch I can’t even name it all and an unofficially official club string boomer rope @rkalajian
