YouTube video idea

So lately in my giveaway thread people have been talking about how giveaways might not be a great idea since I don’t have many subs and people will only subscribe for giveaways so does anyone have any ideas for good yoyo related videos that people would enjoy to watch?

Title the video this and sit back while the views roll in:

Get ripped, wear sleeveless black shirts, and yoyo to Eminem music!..

Oh, I guess that’s just Johnnie Delvalle, huh…

Edit: hey, I gave you what you wanted. I would indeed watch that!

I used to upload old Origami videos onto the internet, they are long gone btw.

I wasn’t even very good yet, and I had just a couple viewers, but they thought I was a cool cat, man.

Yeah I honestly love just watching your shorts, just do some sick tricks to music with a black light, and every once and a while do a long form vid of you going to a contest, learning some hard tricks, ranking your top yo-yos, and other stuff like that
I still think you should do giveaways, but maybe less often, and not stuff like “if I can hit 300 subs etc etc”
I don’t like it at all when people beg for subs,
I had an old yt channel, and I’d post random stuff every once in a while, didn’t care at all about what happened with it, and I have like 360 or smt subs.
Honestly just have fun doing what you love, and don’t sweat it too much on how your videos are doing. If you have to choose between doing something you like doing and it doing mid and doing something you don’t and it does well, always just choose what you enjoy.

I love watching your videos!
One thing that could be cool is just a daily short doing a trick you learned or a combo you like, and just something that simple wouldn’t be that much hard work, and if your anything like me you’d love it, just picking up your phone each morning to you doing your trick of the day.

You could do a “follow my progress” or “learn this trick with me” kinda thing? Share your thoughts on the hobby, or differences in YoYo designs or between manufactures. I am always looking for the story behind the brands, or players. There’s some podcasts and stuff, but idk, just dig into and explore different parts of the hobby, then share your thoughts while your doin tricks or whatever.

Now I kinda want to start a channel lol

This is a good start. Yoyo Joe already has a tutorial for this trick, but this is a good start.

I agree; I had to watch 3 different tutorials before I was able to land “Ladder Escape”

you can never have too many tutorials! same with yoyo reviews.

Very true! I take back what I said about it already being a tutorial. The more the merrier!

I have a little bit of YouTube experience so I might be able to contribute to this one. I took a quick look at your channel and watched a few vids. Here are my thoughts.

-Work on titles and thumbnails. Titles should be short and catchy. If you have text on the thumbnail, make it BIG and readable. Though as long as the thumbnail and title accurately convey what is in the video, that’s fine

-Look at your analytics. Try and see where views are coming from. If they are mostly coming from external sources then you aren’t getting recommended by the algorithm, which isn’t good. You can also see video specific retention charts and learn where in the video people are clicking off, or how effective your thumbnails and title are. It’s super useful info and it’ll help you a lot to learn how to read analytics.

-Make your content unique and interesting. This is what I refer to as “niching down” What I mean by that is find something in yoyo that only you can do and become the best at it. Now I have no clue what that could be for you, that’s something you’ve gotta figure out for yourself. Also Yoyo is pretty over saturated IMO so I wouldn’t even know what kind of content to make that would truly stand out. But the more specific and unique to you that it is, the better chance you’ll have of creating something special.

If you have any YouTube specific questions or anything then I’d love to help out. I’m rooting for you!
