Looks great Legyoyo! I’m glad to see your business progressing past the forums. The website is an awesome foundation, and looks pretty cool. A couple suggestions I have are changing the fonts to match your branding, and they should also complement each other. Right now, it looks great, albeit just a tad scattered.
Another suggestion, that is more preference than anything, is changing up the color scheme. Perhaps it would be a good idea to associate yourself with a certain color, much how YYE is known for red and black. This could help increase brand recognition.
Good stuff Leg! I wish you all the best in future business ventures!
Thanks big cat! I appreciate the suggestions. Though for the font thing I ran into a dilemma :-\
At first I wanted to use my awesome font, but it gives you a list of available fonts… It doesn’t let you access the official fonts you have on your computer
Though, I could make images of the words I want! It’d take time, but surely doable… I’ll try that!
And color scheme’s a great idea! I’m pretty sure right now its grey, black, and white. May change it. But the tree compliment each other well. I’ll see what I can do website wise.
So thanks again! And another HUGE announcement!!!:
It’s official! Legyoyo holsters are coming to Yoyoexpert! Just gotta smooth out what he’ll stock, and we’ll be ship-shape to move onward!!
Wow! That sounds like a great opportunity. My neighbor’s son left, right after college, to teach in China. Funny thing is, he does not speak a lick of Chinese. I asked him how he can teach when he doesn’t speak Chinese. But, they hired him specifically so the Chinese students can hear a native English speaker. That is essentially the gist of his job. He is not paid a lot, but enough to get by. In the process of living there, I know he will pick up some Chinese too. I think he has been there a year already.
Event coordinator sounds interesting, because it’s directly related to the field you want to enter. Either way this goes, it sounds like things are taking off for you.
Now, competitive business, that is really cool, for sure. I majored in political science in college. I went to grad school for law. But, I have learned a lot about business through my various hobbies, and have grown to really love it. I think it would be so cool for you guys to explore it earlier than I did. Cool stuff.
I’m glad to see that you tried webs.com. Much better than paying someone, and you can control your content anytime. It looks like a great start to me. Nice logos and such. You’re on your way to even greater things.
I ordered the parts for our little project, not really exactly what I had in my mind, but nice quality stuff and I hope it looks great in person too.
Ok guys, so just wanted to mention a couple things I did today:
Tested my photoshop skills, and was able to separate the winged yoyo from the words “Legyoyo holsters”. So now I have a logo symbol, as well as a name brand! Cool stuff!
I explored around the site editor, an found a load of “secret” editing options! (And by secret I mean, I totally missed what was in plain sight, do’h).
I also was editing the title and got a picture that says “Legyoyo holsters” but it’s in my font (as big cat suggested)… The only problem is, it got stuck in the top corner and won’t move! Not sure if its still there, but I’ll be fixing that shortly if it did save it
Leg you site could use more color to it the color is kinda bland right now. Oh and for the front page do what makes your company unique and such also move the reviews to a different page so it looks nicer.
And abby: I am working on a HUGE update to the site. However, Mr. Snafu had some plans that are A+ awesome, stay tuned (TA you know what I’m talking about ;))
It used to not work for mobiles. I found the setting that allowed it
*edit: oh yeah, the sites currently down. the update was 100% necessary. In the editor, everything went all cray and I couldn’t do much. Luckily it wasn’t saved and posted up. But I had to start from scratch, causing it to be down… But it got the bug out, that’s good
that sucks sorry you lost everything! but keep up the work and continue to rock it!
and thanks for making me feel better i thought i was crazy as i knew it didnt work but then it did and i was like “wow im losing my mind lol”.
there are some good things in the works and hey let me know when the collab drops id love two just let me know the cost and how i can go about obtaining and you will have your first customer on those cool collabs.
I agree that the Legyoyo site is looking much better with the new design. But, you should mention somewhere in the “about” section, that it’s a paracord holder. Some people won’t watch the video.
Also, B.C., should create a site on webs.com too when he gets up and running with some photos and stuff. I saw his photos of the first bracelet prototype on Instagram, and it looks great.
I finally measured my wrist, and it’s 6 and 1/4"…kinda small. Maybe I’d need a kids’ size.
