Young Entrepreneurs of YoyoExpert!

first business challenge (will it be challenge accepted?) to figure out a way to make an adjustable bracelet.

OH those things have already been made there are some bracelets that have 2 strings and you pull on either end until it fits your wrist.

Not sure guys. I’ll start with the buckles.

But I can’t find my plans for the Braclets. Looking everywhere…

6 and 45 minutes roughly estimated = roughly estimated again $25.15

but the wish thing to do would be to reinvest twice as much as the initial investment to build stock (or even 3x the initial investment to really diversify the colors that could be offered  )

id think this could end up being a really sweet deal. you have an opportunity that not many kids your age have or would be able to handle, i have faith you can do awesome and make some serious cash!

If you remember/check out “The 50 Dash” thread, you can see the wire people Abby makes. We collabed on the prize  and I believe QFC posted a pic of his contest spoils

I used to street perform in a crowded local farmer’s market, usually making around $30 to $40 in profit in a three hour slot. (It cost ten dollars for a three hour spot, plus a ten dollar deposit.) As I’m only 14, that much money was fine. And then the dang market burned down.

How did It burn down?

By fire lol xD

I agree that “one size fits all” is best. But, you have to find that sweet spot. I will offer some advice after I do a little research.

I want to discuss marketing a bit, and use Legyoyo as a perfect example. I am a manufacturer of holders, but YoyoExpert does the marketing and selling. Legyoyo is a great example for BC, as far as how to market the bracelets on his own. We all have to do this when just starting out, so I think it’s cool for BC to get a good marketing campaign outlined. Legyoyo is a great example for him. I will step in with a few ideas.

  1. You are on Instagram already. You have almost 40 followers. Keep your followers in the loop, as far as how the bracelets are coming along. When you get the paracord, snap a pic, when you get the first one done, snap a pic, when you have a bunch sitting there, snap a pic. Keep them in the loop, but let it breathe too. Don’t update them every second, but keep your photos so you can send one a day until you are ready to offer them for sale. You only have to sell to half the people who are following you…for this first run to sell out. Not to mention, if you get some sales off the forum too. This should be an easy first run to sell.

  2. You need a creative name for the bracelet. You need something that describes what it is, and makes it “unique” from all others. For example, “Legyoyo Holsters,” describes what the product is, and also he put a brand name on it. Be careful not to use the YoyoExpert name as a brand, yet it is perfectly innocent to use the color scheme and market as a forum themed bracelet, for the purpose of members identifying one another at contests or generally out and about at club meets or whatever.

  3. You need a short, concise statement about the bracelet such as:

Maddog Forum Bracelets

“When you wear this bracelet at contests and club meets, everyone will know you’re a member of the forum.” Some brief phrase, or slogan to have people see the bracelet, see the statement and know what the deal is automatically.

You don’t have to use the YoyoExpert name, and shouldn’t without permission, but everyone in yo-yo knows YYE is the King of the red, black and white colors. They will see the colors and know exactly what forum you refer to. It goes without saying. That is the beauty of it.

  1. You need a thread for the bracelets too, one that stands out. All your updates of different style weaves and if you ever upgrade the buckles or parts, or make bigger or smaller versions can go in there.

  2. Another tip is not to be too “pushy.” You see how Legyoyo gives his holsters a bump or a push when they need it, and everyone knows they are there, but he does not do the guerrilla marketing thing? It’s up to you, but I suggest handling it in a similar fashion. Marketing can be done with class, in a way that people know the product exists, but it’s not “in your face” all the time. That turns some people off.

I hope those were some helpful tips. If you can get a bunch of people wearing them at contests, to a point where you can look around a room, and spot 30 forum members, that would be cool. 8) We can only dream.

Well…I think she was looking for information about what caused the fire. Was it determined to be arson? Some electrical fire? Did someone throw a cigarette out and it grew from there? Sometimes it is never determined but, most times they have a good idea.

Get a nice prototype going of a little yo-yo person clip on, and let’s see if it looks like something you might be able to offer for sale. Put a little yo-yo in his hand or something. If you can make the person into a yo-yo person, that will tie in the yo-yo thing. If it’s something they can clip on their backpack, case, use as a zipper pull or something, that’s the key. Upload a pic when you have a yo-yo person prototype. If you want some help developing that as a sales item, we would discuss it after the Legyoyo project. But, let’s see what you can come up with in the meantime. 8)

By the way, I meant to comment on the social networking thing. I have to be honest, if I had a daughter your age, I probably would not be a fan of the idea…or maybe with limitations. It’s a different age now, and with a lot of young people permitted to do it, some parents don’t want their child excluded or feel like they are missing out. But, honestly, you are not missing anything at all anyway.

Thanks TA for the tips…

Usually I use Maddog…

But then it might be time for mad kitty xD. Naw just kidding…

What if I do more than bracelets? Maddog Paracord?
Maddog weaves?
Maddog Paracord bracelets.

Help me out guys

Hmmm…I have to give it some thought. You do whatever you think is best product-wise. We’ll follow your lead on this one. Maddog works for a name, they will never forget it, for sure.

I PMed you the tracking…you should have the stuff soon.

For the name. I just need random ideas. Then pick a few and sorta combine them…

I kinda like:

Maddog Paracord Products (in general)
Maddog Paracord Bracelets
Maddog Survival Bracelets (that’s what paracord bracelets are usually called…“survival” bracelets)
Maddog Forum Member Bracelets
Maddog Forum Member Accessories (keychains, bracelets, and so on, all forum themed)

uh you forgot he’s Madkitty now might want to fix that.

Something along the lines of this would be ideal BC. Looks very “YoyoExpert”:
