Young Entrepreneurs of YoyoExpert!

How did i miss this thread? I own UnknownYoyoString, am making my own yoyo and would have a counterweight company if Duncan did not patent it. My dream job would be to fix broken stuff on a case to case basis.

for a bracelet $10
Ring $5
Pendant 8$

Wire person $3-$6 depending on size

Earrings $3 (not shown in pictures)
If your wondering if the prices seem a little high for you this Is because copper wire is expensive to pay for. And the materials to make this stuff is expensive as well. Also the reason you don’t find wire as much because people don’t use as much wire as you think for making jewelry so I have to order it special. (from the computer)

That looks awesome. Let me know if you could make me something like that, but one that does not hold money. I carry a “business card holder” at work. It has a key card, my license and work I.D. Cards, my debit card, and a few cards with codes on them that I need for reference. I’d send you the cards that you need. Just let me know how many. I’ll put Andre on the front, cause he’s my favorite, and some of my other favorite player cards around him. This is the card holder I have now…getting beat up. It only has 3 pockets and holds no money. Let me know your prices and such.

That sounds good. When you have things for sale, you can post them up here in case something might catch my eye. You can even start your own thread, but in unrelated, because it’s non-yo-yo stuff. Tough thing about the jewelry business is that everyone has a “style” and has color preferences and such. Let us know if you do things custom and let people choose the colors.

I watched some Youtube videos on scrapping, just because I was curious about it. I learned that copper is very sought after, and definitely expensive. So, I know what you mean.

o course I do custom! I got like a million colors to choose from! Here are some of the colors I have

Yellow
Red
Magenta
Green
Fushia (it’s really a more vibrant pink)
Purple (really looks like black though)
Light blue
Regular copper color

I also have regular silver as in sliver sliver. (but I got to warn ya It jacks up the price to like 8x more!)
And those are the colors I got.

8x more…yikes!! Okay, I’ll keep that in mind then. That sounds good. I will be picking up the mail in a bit. A review of Bcmaddog’s work shortly. I’ll need to take some photos

yeah sliver is expensive as well.

TotalArtist Review of BCMaddog Paint Service

I noticed that BC was starting a new paint service, and attempting to drum up business on the forum. He seemed very enthusiastic about this new venture, so I viewed some of the photos he posted, and they looked pretty good. He was honest, and posted that he was just starting out and honing in on his craft of painting, and still eduating himself on what works best.

So, I wondered if BC could spice up a green PSG with white caps. I hate green yo-yos, and this was one of the few I had around. Maybe with some silver speckle on the caps, it might be a keeper. So, I contacted BC, who got back in touch with me right away, and we struck a deal. He was honest, about the colors he had available, and he offered to get a color of my choice. I selected silver, one of the colors he had in stock, and appreciated his willingness to accommodate a color request.

BC does not accept Paypal, which may turn off some buyers, but I was sending the yo-yo with tracking anyway, so it was okay to put the cash in the box. It was only a small amount of cash, so not too risky. He charged $12, with return shipping included in the price. So, I mailed out immediately.

Communication was straight forward. I would describe BC as honest, almost to a fault. He seems just that honest. He even asked if he could throw the PSG when he got it, because he never tried one, but he assured me that he would be careful with it. Most people would throw it without asking, and I knew that, but BC wanted to know if it was okay. I liked that, and I think that is the part of BC that his customers will appreciate most. He has the ability to develop a raport with people. He gets back to you quickly…lightening fast. As you may know BC well from the forum, he has plenty of energy, and that will help him in business.

Timeline:
I mailed to him by First Class, on July 20th
He received the yo-yo on July 22nd
He notified me that he shipped out on July 23rd (First Class)
I received the yo-yo on July 25th.

As you can see, this entire transaction only took 5 days to complete, and we both used first class shipping. First class is the way to go. I received the yo-yo and a complimentary yellow string was included. I looked at the yo-yo and observed that the speckles were a nice size, mostly fine, and evenly placed. There was no coloring outside the lines onto the body of the yo-yo. It appears that BC did a thorough, and clean job speckling the PSG. The feel was very, very slight to the touch, and barely noticeable at all. The yo-yo looked really nice.

Spinning Shots;

In conclusion, overall BC did a great job. He is a great communicator, easy to negotiate with, honest, he works fast, and he return ships quickly. Most importantly, he did nice work, and the photos do not lie. I recommend you send a yo-yo to BC so that you can give your yo-yo a new look. Allow him to build some feedback, and one day, he will be painting your precious metals too. I also sent BC a free Butterfly to practice his painting skills on. If you would like to donate a yo-yo to him, so he can continue working on his skills, send him a PM, he’s a really friendly guy.

This was also posted in BC’s own thread for his paint service.

Neat Yoyo totalartist! He did a great job!

I agree, he earned some great feedback for that one. I will be reviewing YoyoSpirit’s job early next week.

If its for a polish, you won’t be disappointed!

ooh

I would street perform, but Elk Grove is too small. I live in the part where there are stores, but it’s not populated and I have to bike to the populated part. I am in Folsom today and so I’ll see what happens. Do you just ask people for money? Or casually wait for them to give you money?

I would just leave out a hat or something, people will infer that you take money. I don’t think asking is the way to go.

It depends on your show, If you are just yoyoing with a looping track in the back ground then don’t ask. But if you can create like a real show where you talk and stuff, like the Ned show but cooler and on the street, then I would ask right before your grand finale.

I second that.

Me and Sirnaq_MN42 may be working out something in PMs for a wallet. I’ll keep you guys updated if that comes to fruition later.
