So my dad and I are competing to see who is right and who is wrong. My dad thinks that a string on a yo yo could break and the yo yo could go flying at my mom when I’m doing it in front of her like Around the World and all. But she’s like 2 feet away/to the side from the yo yo! I told him that a string will never break because the yo yoer would know if the string is getting ready to wear down/break. Like fraying, wearing out, and the color.
A lot of times it should be safe, but you never know. Something weird could happen. I’ve had strings break out of the blue before.
Some yoyo’s can have minor problems where they will cut strings or wear them out abnormally quick.
Better safe than sorry, besides… if the yoyo cut the string and hit your mom OR if you even just hit your mom on accident, you can probably assume you won’t be getting anymore yoyo’s from your parents haha
One day you will look back on all of this in wonder at how wise your dad really was all those times…
