Two days ago I almost had a combo (Konami Code) down smooth. Then I did a HIIT workout and now I can’t move my arms. Or walk. Every time I want to practice, I Remember.
Time to indulge in pure unadulterated online yoyo browsing.

I feel you. One time I hurt my right arm from lifting and couldn’t perform a breakaway for nearly a month without making it worse. I had to throw left handed in the meantime.
I hate taking rest days because it feels like I’m not making progress. But recovery is important! Sometimes I have to force myself to remember that.
When I first started, I was in the middle of a series of hand surgeries for a finger that didn’t work after an infection. I was really kind to myself during that and only rarely got frustrated when I was inhibited by my finger movement. Now that my finger works I’m way more intense about practicing. Which has resulted in a lot of fast progress. But also a bit of unhealthy obsession lol.
It’ll be good for me to rest for a bit.
Do you think learning how to throw left handed was worth it?
Hiit workouts can be intense but after about a month the soreness wont be nearly as bad. Then you’ll have a sick ■■■■■■■■■
Nah I didn’t retain any of it lol. It was super obtuse to learn and I didn’t enjoy basically starting from zero with my left hand.
I don’t do them very often—I only think there were a couple months in my life when I regularly incorporated them into my routine. So basically they kill me every time!!!
see thats your problem, you always have to consider how your actions will impact your ability to yoyo
i kid obviously but seriously, i used to do commercial electrical work and i swear they make those materials as if they’re TRYING to hurt ppl with all the crazy sharp edges and such. even using gloves most of the time i still ended up with my hands torn up most days of the week. i didn’t yoyo then and i think now how much that would have sucked. i would have been throwing every night with a handful of bandaids
I tried yoyoing with a bandaid ONCE and it felt disgusting. Also I’m imagining you looking like Edward Scissorhands. Poor guy wouldn’t stand a chance with a yoyo.
i helped someone do some work a few weeks ago and had to throw that night with 3 bandaids plus a couple extra wounds that were in places i couldn’t bandaid them. i could barely feel the string and it made it both extremely difficult and painful lol
I use nuskin or in a pinch some super glue to cover a crack or cut on my throw finger. It’s not smart of me but it works
talk about makeshift field dressing, i cut a knuckle on a stainless steel wall plate once and could see my bone and i wrapped it in paper towel and electrical tape for a whole day and then glued it to avoid stitches. smart and necessary don’t always row the same boat
My dad does this kinda stuff. And then there’s me—cut my finger enough to get stitches, took every precaution, and it STILL got infected and ended with 3 surgeries and 10 days in the hospital I don’t have the right composition for electrical tape solutions
Don’t be like me. I blew a disk in my back in my 20s and took a decade to get it looked at requiring surgery mostly due to waiting so long.
Currently hurt my knee and rarely sure it’s bad enough to warrant a dr visit but I’m hobbling about still ignoring it
The bone?!?!?!?!?
yea it was gross and pretty intense when i realized what i was looking at
I hope you feel better soon. I watched one of your videos somewhere on here and you’re progressing very fast.
I’m usually pretty proactive, but I’m also kind of ignoring a bad knee right now because it’s not quiiiite miserable enough yet (took a bad fall climbing last year and tore my MCL… guess I probably jacked some more parts up too).
Bad knee solidarity, Captain
Aw thanks bud!!!
This is the exact reason I refuse to work out!
