pretty sure that eric wolff was mine once, and it’s double-crazy because i have the exact brother of that spalted maple 3-in-1.
nice score. i should have some of the tk special stock arriving any day.

Yes it was.
From Ed to Dana to me. Thank you both!
BTW, do we have a TK appreciation thread somewhere here? I know we used to have a wonderful one back on YYN, but I don’t think we have one here on YYE.
they should re-instate the world fix-axle championships. there has been a real resurgence in light sleeping.
we’ve done the ‘fixed axle championship of all the world’ at wyyc for the past 4 years.
drew won in 09, randy jansen in 10, colin leland in 11 and i got lucky last year. between the randomized categories and peer-judge/shoe-voting, it’s honestly the best yo-yo contest format ever (probably even including wheel of penalty… unless abe’s in that, in which case it’s unbeatable).
This is my current fave trick for a fixie.
I like the down/up side-to-side and front-to-back-front-ness of it… and I figured it out at a good time since Ed’s running his video contest too!
here ya go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hwEkmT9xyA
Awesome stuff, Adam!
Yo Ed, Scuba Steve and Colin! Do you remember that time SPYY and TMBR put out a run of Ehs and they sold out in like 20 seconds? You guys should like totally do that again.
I have seen a lot of long time throwers/collectors that missed out on the eh. I too would love for that to be in my case.
As I see none being coughed up on the BST, I could imagine that being the only way to get one.
I think the rest of the people that got an Eh feel like me in that I doubt I would ever trade or sell it. I play it, don’t get me wrong, but I wanted it for the story and what it represents with Ed’s journey. It sits dead center of my yoyo case so I see it everytime I pull out a throw. Its a good reminder to have fun and enjoy my throws. Plus it plays like a boss
I have a Higby/Haponik Profly 66 and the comic that came with it. I though I had lost the comic and found it last weekend. Fixed axles and Ed weren’t nearly as popular then. Do any of you have one? Anyone know how many were made?
I never really thought of any if that when I bought it. I bet a run of those would go in a flash today.
basically, higby had those special caps printed and made a ton of pretty proflies. he literally made the comic from scratch. i know there are more caps out there (i’ve def got a sheet of each myself).
as to the eh… your concerns/suggestions are noted, rest assured.
I heard someone got hold of more than one Eh that day…got lucky:

Maybe they put 2 in the cart…by accident…it was a typo at the checkout :-[ People should not be hoarding Ehs. Guy who loves purple and green yo-yos probably tipped them off about the Ehs going on sale. Owe it all to that guy. Saying nooooo names :-X

Meant to post this earlier for anyone who hasn’t seen these. Happened to have Ed’s YYE card nearby so I put it in the photo.
sorry to be “that guy” but would you recommend a freemont or an irving Pro for my first fix axle yoyo? i just want to get a second opinion.
Fremont.
Yup. Fremont.
To expand on my recommendation, I thought the Irving Pro felt really strange in my hands and just didn’t get along with it. I prefer the rounded shape of the Fremont. It’s alot more fun for stalls because of its slim design and light weight, in my opinion.
I think I’m finally starting to get my Eh dialed in. I’m consistently hitting Kwijibo and working on Spirit Bomb. My only issue is that if I tighten my eh all the way down the gap is too small, so I have to have it unscrewed a bit. It works well, until i snap start it and inevitably tighten/loosen the halves. Whats my best option to get this thing where I want and stay there?
