The Lovejoy is the only one with chamfered edges, correct? It’s on my wishlist because it’s the biggest of these three and the chamfered edges are an added bonus. Though I could sand the edges of any of these… but it wouldn’t be a machined job.
Btw, can someone PM me (or post if allowed) where to buy type 10 cotton yo-yo string? I have type 8 cotton for my Irving… is it a significant difference? Figured I’d try it anyways.
I started throwing as a kid in the mid 80’s when I lived in San Francisco and went to Dr. Kuhn’s dentist office. In the intervening years, life – and an intense (but gratifying) career has sometimes taken me away from day-to-day play. But recently, because of Ed’s blog, and the way he’s able to drill down and articulate the simple joys this sport brings us in a complicated world… my love for the game has returned stronger than ever. So thrilled to have the “EH” folded into my modest but well loved collection – it brings everything back full circle. Thanks Ed!
Realized I posted this image incorrectly last week… Trying again! Found this old TK mailer (among quite a few others) in my garage last week … postmarked Nov 22nd 1993 Thought it appropriate for the season.
man… @chicoalum that’s incredible. i don’t know what to say. thanks for the kind words, for finding my blog worth a read, and for finding your way back into the joys of wood.
I’m finally starting to hit the trapeze stall pretty regularly, I can do it from the forward pass every few tries, but I suck at shoot the moon to begin with, so trying to land that has resulted in a few choice swear words and few busted knuckles lol.
