“Bi-metal style design”, lol.
Now that I think about it, I agree. I just so wanted it to be a bimetal yoyo…
jebaited
Still don’t know about “Wangle” it sounds wrong…
wingle
What a load of ■■■■. Poser bimetal sales pitch is lame.
You mean there’s a story about this one?
I’m guessing that YYF wanted to push the Shutter line further with a bimetal, but Gentry doesn’t like them. So they just make one that look like a bimetal? Lol
ExMachina?
It seemed like that was more designed by TP then YYF, because of all of the cuts, and that there were inner rings (They use inner rings a lot) so that is why I didn’t mention it. However, you are still right that they made it, I was just talking about why I (personally) didn’t include it.
keep in mind that this really is just a colorway of the wide angle
@Marm I was right!
Sadly…
I’m guessing that a true bi-metal shutter will play nothing like the original. I’ve seen numerous yoyos where the shape was duplicated in another material and they did not have any similarity in play. The YYJ hitman and lyn fury are a prime example.
I get what Gentry is doing with YYF. He is still providing a cost effective and good looking high performance yoyo. I can’t help but feel a little let down. I was very excited about the bi-metal prospect. With YYF it didn’t have to be over priced, it could have been close to the Edge and Boost, the <$80 range. It would have been accessible to those who really wanted it.
It’s true, we don’t neeeed a bi-metal. But it sure would have been nice.
There is already 50 or so models of the Shutter. Do we really need (or even want) 51? I gues I am in the “enough is enough” camp. Move on already. . .
I hear ya. But to be fair, there is only 2. It’s just that many colorways. And thats all there is. Even the ND now has 3 models. Even has 6 different Edges or more. Shutter just 2. Paul Kerbal 3. The Terrarian has more colorways released. I’m not tired of those. Just dissapointed the Shutter made no big change.
Nate is going to get a new sig that reveals at PNWR it seems.
That’s the one I was thinking about. A bi-metal ND. Looks pretty sweet.
Hmmm, lemme see…
OG Shutter, Shu-Ta (7075), Ti-Shutter, Wide Shutter, 66% Shutter, 67g Shutter, 64g Shutter, and i feel like im still missing some…
