Deadly spin, toxix, a run of chiefs, i think anti yo, i might be wrong.

They made the Wrath. They also make all the newer Anti-Yo’s

Didn’t they do some General Yos? Could have sworn i read that. Doesn’t matter to me. Yoyos are about the design and execution. One Drop has proven to be excellent at executing designs, so as long as someone comes up with something nice i feel confident One Drop will excel at machining it.

The Duncan Barracuda.

I can’t find anywhere that says the Barracuda was machined by
One Drop.

This.

Also, I look at OneDrop as both a machine shop and a yoyo company. I mean, the pieces of equipment they use are so expensive that if this was just a yoyo company, they really shouldn’t have them. I would assume they use the CNC’s for other purposes than just yoyos when they can as well.

The precision they provide along with the understanding of yoyo design is important. But they just machine the throws. OneDrop is acting as a machine shop for other companies, not a yoyo company.

People who have issues with this must also get mad that some parts of cars are manufactured internationally for not just one brand of cars.

OD machined the Wrath. Deadly Spins has since moved to Foxland Precision.

I have too heard this rumor but until either Ernie, Shawn or Dave say anything we will never know. I have also heard the rumor about the Barracuda too. Again just a rumor though.

I think Jake hit the nail on the head. One Drop not only has the machines but they machine yoyos for a living… That knowledge goes a long way when machining yoyos…

I know there was a very limited ministar colab between the two but other than that nothing that I have heard about.

Ahh That is true!! I actually had one too… I do know that One Drop did not machine that particualar throw though. One Drop tumbled/lazered them after Ernie had them machined and blasted…

Also, I have the strangest feeling that the OP had no idea what he was stepping into.

For some reason i found the Oregon part hilarious. No offence to them but if I had a yo-yo company i would choose my machine shop base on state.

Yeah

I find it all pretty interesting. Sounds like all you need to start a yoyo company is a design and a phone.

Also seems like some companies proudly state that One Drop did their manufacturing, while others keep quiet about it.

I also like that they are in Oregon. My second favorite state. ;D Frankly, this has bumped One Drop to the top of my shopping list. Just have to choose which model…

Ok here are the companies I know have used One Drop:

Deadly Spins
G-Squared
Anti-Yo
CLYW
ILYY
Eternal Spin
RAyoyos
Toxic

3 or 4 of them don’t always use One Drop.

He never said they did…

I never said he said they did. I was just stating that 3 or 4 of them use don’t One Drop full time.

Oregon is cool!

Those machines are not cheap as mentioned earlier. They don’t pay for themselves. Just like a print shop if the machines are running they are paying the lease/bank.

When you specialize in making yo yo’s, your limited on work options. How cool is it for smaller companies to have them to produce their products. Having a skilled machinist at a machine shop using their experience and knowledge. It really makes sense for both sides.

It’s awesome that they do help other companies. Definitely wouldn’t see a company like Yoyofactory helping out their competition. One reason (of many) why One Drop gets my respect.
