Which Company Would you recommend? Quality, price, andonizing etc

#1

come on dont be shy.

EDIT: added recess, axis, Yoyorecreation and 'Other 'as in other companies

#2

I think the OneDrop stuff is incredible and worth every penny. Its where my big money yo-yos come from.

I like YoYoFactory, too, but to me, their $45 Chineese machined metals don’t feel much different than the $10-$20 MagicYoyos that I have. I do really like their plastics, though. The ReplayPro and the OneStar are really awesome for the price.

I don’t have enough experience with CLYW.

#3

Axis makes some of the best yoyos I’ve ever played the ex is out of this world. Recess makes some awesome stuff aswell

#4

I would have to choose yyf. They have great products at really low prices. G5= wonderful! Space cadet= <3 d10=great great great! They have such a diverse lineup that anyone can find something that suits their preferences. I wish they had some more American made ones and then I could easily say they would be my favorite brand (hint hint  )

#5

I would recommend CLYW. Everything is perfect about there return tops. They have some of the best color ways I’ve ever seen. The only thing I could complain about is the price, but recently they have been getting lower since CLYW has been making them overseas. A couple other companies I might recommend are yoyo factory, and yoyo recreation.

#6

If I have to pick just from the three mentioned, it would have to be One Drop.

They are the only company on the list that manufactures all of their products in the US.

They have almost complete control of the quality thanks to doing pretty much everything but the anodizing and laser etching in house.

Finally they have a model for pretty much everyone’s tastes and are working on expanding to areas they have not touched yet, such as the bimetal market.

#7

YYF. The shear amount of yoyos they have on offer and the incredible value they give for the money.

#8

Truth. That is why I prefaced my reply with “If I have to pick from the three mentioned.”

There are so many companies not mentioned in the original poll that are absolutely brilliant why limit it to just one. In the end, all this is going to do is end up as flame bait.

CLYW wins for me for sure.

All three are great, CL is just my favorite.

While obviously picking just one company would be a little bit ridiculous and would mean you’d miss out on a lot of other great stuff, in the spirit of the question, I’d have to go with OD.

I only have one of their throws currently, but every OD that I’ve owned or tried has been absolutely great, and every new design they come out with goes through some serious consideration to buy on my part. Their crew is great at reaching out and staying involved with our community. Their yo-yos are probably the smoothest I’ve played. They have great prices on their products that keep people employed right here in the USA. And they help other yo-yo companies out by providing machining services and access to the great axle design known as side effects.

Overall, they’ve contributed a ton to this community, and they deserve every bit of praise and respect that they get.

#11

That’s the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. YoyoFactory is my #1 favorite, if I had to choose just one, it’s YoyoFactory hands down. Their stuff often plays how I like my throws to play, solid and stable. Even when they make something lighter, it still has the stability that I love. They sell their products, even limited high end throws, at very reasonable prices. Also, they have an awesome variety of products in their catalog, something for everyone. And, they are spreading the love of yo-yo on a regular basis, around the world, and right now actually during YoyoFactory Adventure in Peru. So, the money you spend on YoyoFactory products helps them spread the love of yo-yo everywhere. :-* I enjoy the excitement they bring to yo-yo, and the frequent releases that keeps a collector like myself busy trying to keep up. That’s the fun of it. The anodizing is top notch, and I consider it the best right now. A few years ago, people were asking them to step up the anodizing, and they delivered above and beyond. Here’s a taste:

I can’t quite comment on which is my favorite, but based off what I have tried I wholeheartedly recommend Clyw , onedrop, and the yoyos I’ve tried by turning point and delicious have also been great, but they weren’t in the same price range as my clyw and onedrop yoyos.

#13

That is soooo nice looking!

#14

Which company…
Depends on what day of the week it is and what side of the bed I got up on…

#15

Which one is that YYF Aviator? Horizon? I wasn’t able to find this exact color way. It looks amazing. Is it still available anywhere?

#16

It’s an aviator

#17

What color way is this and is it still available? I could only find the galaxy color way (https://shop.yoyoexpert.com/products/yyf-aviator-2-yoyo?variant=18874766852) which also looks great but doesn’t seem the exact same one.

#18

I don’t know if you can get it anywhere, though I would love to have that galaxy one!

#19

It’s the alien galaxy colorway. Not sure if it’s available anywhere; probably not though, apart from finding one on the BST. Galaxy colorways have got to be some of the fastest selling YYF colorways when they’re available.

Edit: might actually be a lightly colored YYE edition splash… I’m not sure if they made the aviator 2 in alien galaxy, and there was a ”splash game” post with a ”alien galaxy/store edition” aviator 2 that’s somewhere in between the one shown above and the picture of the YYE edition picture shown in the shop(unfortunately sold out regardless…).

Edit 2: TA named the pic AviatorAG, AG definitely meaning alien galaxy, so maybe they are two different splashes? I dunno, I’m sure she’ll chime in. =]

I’d have to say Onedrop (probably can tell from my sig). The people at onedrop seem like great people (never met them in person though…), they make their yoyos in the US, and the quality of their products is superb. Not to mention their prices are reasonable as well.
