After I bought a jewelry scale and validate it’s accuracy,
I weighted my Catalyst and to my surprise its weight is 68.3g!
2g more than stated.
Now I understand why it’s feels to me more heavy than my Genesis
Can anyone explain this ? I have Harold Owens special edition, could it be that the splash added 2g ?
I bought the Catalyst to be a lighter throw than the Genesis and I got the opposite 
Most likely your scale could be slightly off. Or if not did you have the string in? I am pretty sure they don’t weigh them with a string when the put the stats.
could be. darker cold dyes in anodize do add some weight.
I just measured an acid wash at was 66.6 and a blue HO splash it was 68.1
Bearing weight maybe? I’m not sure how Yoyos are weighed so excuse my ignorance

I have a Blue w/gold splash and Gold w/ blue splash. I notice that the Blue is heavier than the Gold. I have no problems with this. A true player can adjust to the weight of a yoyo.
