Hey just wondering which is better for 3A the Whip or One? Or any other around ten dollars. ;D
If your price range is $20 a pair get a pair of yyj classics for the same price as the whip and one… But you’ll had to mod it unresponsive by replacing the pads with flowable silicone and change to a C bearing.
Yeah but I don’t have very good bearings to switch out. 
Id look into surges.
The before mentioned yoyo’s are probably some of the worst choices for starting 3A as their weight and balance does not warrant what is needed in 3A yoyos.
Surges on the other hand would bring what you need.

I hear that the ProtoStar is good for 3A, but they are $35 a piece. Consider getting two OneStars ($15 each. I have one coming in the mail, and if I ever want to do 3A, I will probably get another one.
Chasers although are a bit more, are a great 3a choice. Very stable and long spinning.
Yes, that and the trigger are Amazing throws.

I vote surges or classics.
But surges are heavier and have a tad more weight.
That will help you much more.
Whips and ones are really bad.(for 3a)
And one stars are way too light. Chasers are good but much more expensive. Same with protostars.
Surges are the best option. And the cheapest.
