Instead of “what’s your favorite” maybe think of this as “what do you have 2 of?”
I have:
2 summits (one was stuck in the mail for 2 months, bought another one because I thought it was lost forever, and then it showed up 2-3 days ago.)
3 north stars ( got them a few years ago in yyf packs, I’ve warmed up to them over time and I started modding them, Poping caps off and sharpies are a gateway fyi.)
2 protostars (One to rock, one to stock)
2 sugar gliders (sleeper, so good)
2 cabal2s (favorite plastic/hybrid)
4+ butterfly xts (for modding, and I give these away)
2 freehand ones (what I smooth out known tricks with, and one technically was a valentines day gift for my wife, and I liked it enough to by a danny one)
2 dioramas (favorite take anywhere, do anything, pocket)
I won’t count my k2 crystals, arrows, snapbacks, or eagle 1s for club. They’re kind of mid. Good as loaners though.

Currently just 2 YYJ Surges. One got DESTROYED because I had no idea what I was doing at the time and it was my first real YoYo. A trampoline was involved.
Some years later I decided to ask if anyone had one so I could actually feel what it was supposed to play like since I now know what I’m doing. The forum delivered me my wildest dream and the new one now lives on my desk so it’s always at arms reach.
Only other ones I had multiples of were the Dunk Rebound and the Slam Dunk. But I established a one and done rule for me. Will it stop me? No, but I can pretend.
I own a pair of Deeper States, pair of TopYo Blocks, and Plasms - so I could do my own half swaps.
I own several Duncan Butterflies - some have been half swapped, some are as they are, and some of the special ones remain in package. Also own several Butterfly XT’s, also half swapped.
And then I have 3 Deepest States - did a custom half swap one with OD at launch along with Spacious Skies, and then more recently bought an edITION (UFO Tofu). All 3 Deepest States get regularly played and colorway depends on my mood.
Got a couple of Proyos and Proflies - some were given to me and others I bought for attempting 2a.
Empathy Southside. I bought all four color-ways. Its just my favorite.
I also bought two TRT Turtles. I attempted to find a swap buddy fairly last minute. No takers, so I bought a red, and purple. Double half swapssss!
Edit: I completely forgot I have a pair of C3 Seekers to try 2A, and a pair of UNPRLD Anions to try 3A.
i have two formas because i wanted one i could take everywhere and not worry about damage or loss, and i wanted both finishes. this is the only one i have more than one of besides butterflies
Weekenders and Deep State/er/est iterations. I have a couple different Bolts, and Things as well. I used to like to try and have two of my fave’s. The finer ones for the shelf, and the other is free to throw/ding/sell/trade. Usually, when I have more than one, that other one will end up trade fodder down the line.
It’s irrational, I know. I could never afford it anyways, but… I gotta catch them all? Don’t I?
not really the type of person to buy duplicates but going through the ol’ shoebox i actually have quite a few may have to slim down the hoard.
ditch is the one exception to my no-dupes rule, i bought a second one to keep in my pocket all the time but nowadays i wear such big pants that i can bring whatever throw i want with me.
2 og confusions (red and purple) that i halfswapped and beat to hell but have since un-swapped and now look a little mismatched.
i have a dino egg first base from the kickstarter as well as a blue one i bought when i first got into the hobby.
the rest of my doubles are yyf from back when the bgrade sales still had loot: tumbled raw 44 to match my production, 2017 popstar to match my reconnoitre (technically a double?), one powdercoated and one tumbled raw al dream to go with my og (which was my first unresponsive!) making it the only throw i have 3 of.
Top Deck, of course. I wanted a back up and I couldn’t help myself when they finally did a new run a couple of years ago. I usually have one with a concave bearing and the other with a flat so they play a little different.
The only other duplicates I have are various Duncan Butterflies and two of the recent Glow Imperials.
i have duplicates of a lot of yoyos, but i have like 7 peregrines, 6 upheavals, 3 upheavals expansions, 12 wraiths, 4 leafs. these are all yoyos i particularly love to play as much as collect. i have at least one of each in my heavy rotation case
may have to slim down the hoard.
