What yoyo company has the best releases on average?

I do not make yo-yos I know some people who do’ I am sure you do too.

2 Pennie’s
To be a yo-yo company when it is a super difficult endeavor to design produce promote sell a good performing yo-yo and be a good company with good reliable customer service to satisfy that very peculiar customer base with a confounding set a almost unattainable expectations and then still be able to make a profit and if not and you still do it… hats off to you fir producing yo-yos or if you have produced yo-yos in the past. Thank you

I could not choose I have very special individual relationships in my head about each company. Some are “ different “ to deal with but sometimes for me that just makes the the throws from them have a “ different “ story.

I am pleasantly surprised this thread has not devolved into fight fight fight

Everyone have a great rest of the week

Yoyofactory is being criminally underlooked in this thread. C3 releases pure heat over and over as well.

For boutique, Dressel Designs. Dressel releases absolute heat back to back.

The two brands that I have the most yoyos of are YoyoFactory and OneDrop, and they’re all quite good.

I only have one throw from each, but my G2 and my Turning Point are both S-Tier yoyos so I’m gonna go with them as well.

It’s hard to truly go wrong though, there are so many good yoyos out there. We are blessed with the curse of being spoiled for choice.

One Drop has released some of the best and most influential monometals of all time, and are consistently innovative with technology. On top of that, all of their yoyos are fun and have a lot of character while also performing well. Yoyofriends is basically the modern Yoyorecreation (no disrespect to YYR though) and has put out like half a dozen of the best competition bimetals available right now. But on top of that, their monometals are all quite good as well, especially the Koi, which I don’t own yet but have heard amazing things about. Definitely two of the best in my opinion.

I agree so strongly with this. I can count the amount of times I’ve heard about a truly bad or well below-average yoyo being released on one hand in the last few years. I could pick one of the 5 most recent releases on Yoyoexpert at random and almost definitely be happy with it.

I used to buy across a wide variety of brands, but as my collection has grown and grown, I’ve found that I’m usually playing G2, Dressel Designs, Turning Point or something from Jeffery Pang. They all have consistently high quality and I’m always satisfied. Most of my yoyo purchases are now from these. I always keep an eye on OneDrop even though I don’t find myself playing them as much as the others, same with Yoyo Friends. I’m still open to trying out any yoyo which catches my eye, but the bar has become much higher.

Hot take: Magicyoyo is a contender here. All they’ve come out with recently is the K2P (great beginner yoyo), y series (node is a common 3a recommendation, aurora is probably the best LED option around, hertz is…the hertz, I guess?) and the z series - all excellent budget bimetals.

If you include their older lineups, things get dicey, but if you put them in the context of when they were released, their releases as a whole have been pretty consistently in the “ok to great” range.

I will say for their price magicyoyo is hard to beat. Good value. As an owner of a bimetal MYY I can also say I’m dubious about it standing up in performance to my other bimetals. Granted, it cost 60 when the others are like 100, so can’t be too salty. Also it’s worth noting that that bimetal (the Stealth) is from 2017-ish so it isn’t recent

I don’t have a wide ranging collection, but there are some companies that I look forward to seeing their newest stuff.

First would be One Drop (surprise!). I have throws that perform “better”, but I don’t have a single OD that I don’t like. The amazing thing to me about their line is the diversity. Deep State, Pano, Free Solo, Reboot, Top Deck, Thorn, Kamuraiju, Aitch and Terrarian are all so different from each other, but each one is fun and and extremely well-made.

I also think Dressel Designs deserves mention, too. I only have one, Emotion, but it is superb and still dead smooth. I can’t help but feel like it’s an heirloom . Just super classy and timeless design, especially in clear.

I really want another C3, too. The Speedy XX is so good that I’m curious about others in their line. The comments here suggest I need to pick one up.

At the end of this, I agree with most that it’s hard to find something that just isn’t good. It may not be your style, but my V3, for instance, is still impressively good. Great thread to give people ideas on branching out a little. I actually looked at TP’s offerings before posting

The XX is absurdly good for a plastic. Techinically it’s a hybrid due to the fingerspin cap but still

Really really fricking good for a plastic.

If you’re getting another C3 I of course would suggest the Hydrogen Crash. It’s my favorite yoyo.

It indeed is hard to find a bad yoyo nowadays. I just think that people tend to find preferences is all. For instance almost half my collection is C3, including the only titanium I own. Small stuff like that is what made me want to make that post
