I believe one trick fits this bill.
If you are specifically talking about a trick that was intimidating until you feel the trick hit. Then becomes almost instantly reproduced and only gets better the more you do the trick.

For me it was boingy boing

Yuuki Slack took me almost 10 years to learn.
Granted, it wasn’t 10 continues years, I would try the trick for a couple minutes, then quite for a year or so.
When I first saw the trick it was on the WYYC 2002 VHS tape. I remember I could hit pause then fast forward on my VCR and it would play the tape frame-by-frame, and I tried to emulate what Yuuki was doing.
Took me way too long to realize the slack was supposed to wrap around your wrist, and not just your fingers. Once I figured that out, I learned the rest of the trick in less than 20 minutes.

lol once you get it, sure, but it is not intuitive

Wish I had usable tips, it just clicked for me one day.

Tilting the mount “backwards” (top hand towards yourself) seemed to help. Learning to “park” it in on the back string and then popping it forward to catch the front was doable but I could never get it back to the back string. Figuring out when to drop my top hand to give the catch some slack to keep the yo from just bouncing off the front string also took some time.
