Hmm…
One of my gripes with poly is that replacing string takes time to do - this can add up when you have several throws that need a new string.
For me, this falls under the category of maintenance, similar to caring for a stainless steel bearing.
Personally, I’d rather glaze over yoyo maitenance as much as possible. After working with my hands all day, the last thing I want to do is maintain a yoyo during my free time. I would rather take that time to polish old tricks or learn new ones.
This is why I prefer nylon string and full ceramic bearings.
It’s always a tension dance with poly string, nylon doesn’t have this problem nearly as much, in my limited experience.
At the end of the day I just want to throw. Less maintenance is my personal go-to when it comes to this hobby due to my current career choice.
