I’m sorry to sound like a know-it-all, but that was probably just a defect with yours and your friends, especially if you got them at the same time. Unless you played it for 3 days straight it probably won’t fall out.
But this could happen, in which case you’ll either want to have some k-pads or flowable silicone lying around.
I’d say get both and stop the bickering! ;D

well Genesis has a weird shape that not everyone likes. you may not like the shape and because it is metal, it is expensive. if you want a metal and are not sure about H shaped, Get a DV888. if you have used an H shaped yoyo and liked it, then you could get a Gen. they both play wonderful once you get used to both of them.
I have a plain 888 and it’s great but most of the time they are not very cheap.
Mine is a b grade I bot at a contest and it was about 60 dollars.
It’s a b grade because the eight on the side got lasered wrong or whatever they do put on the 8s.
But I have not tried either of these yoyos and I’m sure they are great.
Again, it all depends on you.
