100% offset yoyo competition string its 1.3 meters long which is 130 centimeters long and it is very thick and it holds tension very well, Brandon Vu made a whole video on how he achieved the perfect competitive yoyo string. See it here: https://youtu.be/wrxxo50S200?si=Q63NngFhRbZLXO5O

This is the best thread

I like my string just a biiit past my belly button, so about 130cm. string has (almost) always been too short for me.

+1

Edit: Offset yoyo string looks nice… I only wish it came in pink. (I’m basically colorblind, pink is incredibly visible for me)

In the background of the Outlier 5 unboxing, Brandon has a stack of Blueprint boxes. I love my Blueprints, about 120cm and they do multicolour packs with pink.

When I need really long string I just make it myself.

Now that I’ve been getting into Tech-ier tricks, I’ve been thinking of switching to longer string… trouble is, where do I find string longer than 140cm? lol.

I should learn how to make string… tips?

My style tech is more early - mid 2000’s, I think it’s a bit easier with a longer string.

You don’t need a longer string just because you’re tall.

Iirc Sochi normal, fat, Alphaline and OT Fat are all about 130cm. Sochi Phoenix was about 140cm.

Kitty string fat is a bit shorter, maybe 120-125cm or so.

I am 187 cm tall and have gotten used to using ropes between 100 and 120 cm.

Wait what? Is that true? That string is basically 3cm shorter than the whole me lmao, how is it possible to play with something like that?

I noticed when string is too long the control go a bit away, it is harder to manouvre the yoyo and follow the momentum

Way out of my league, but this

I like the length for 5A more than 1A, has no relation to my height, just fun. Currently running 155-160cm cottons on my fixies too

what length do you cut yours?
I go just below my shoulder

My one is quite short, I do it just a tiny bit higher than my belly button, I would say probably around 110/120 but sometimes I cut it from under my belly button which is quite short, I like it because it give me lot of control and slacks are easy to form and do not go all over the place

I’ve been cutting my string just a bit above my belly button for at least 10 years! Of course, me being 15, the length changes often, haha. I just measured my strings to be about 125/130cm, which is plenty to work with; I’m also very comfortable using it, being 191cm.

This is the first time I’ve really analyzed my string length… I think I’d be most comfortable with about 135cm.
