What parts do I buy??

I am hand turning a yoyo on a lathe for my machine trades class and I’m about to start on the bearing seat. I am machining the bearing seat based on the N12 shark from magic yoyo. What bearing do I get and where can I get an axle for it? If you could provide me with specific links to the items it would be very helpful. I know the bearing is an open faced concave 10 ball bearing size C but I don’t know which bearing to actually order

For your axle, all you need is a hex set screw like the pic below. You can get them at most hardware stores. Just thread both halves to accept it and you’re good to go as long as it fits through the bearing and is the right length.

As for the bearing? Any size C bearing should work fine. Here’s a link to a KonKave that should work: Dif-E-Yo KonKave Bearing – YoYoExpert

There are some cheaper bearings that would work equally well though…
Center trac: YYF Center Trac Bearing – YoYoExpert
OD 10-ball: One Drop 10 Ball Bearing – YoYoExpert

The OD 10-ball is probably the best value. They’re nice and smooth and $8.

Hope that helps.
