Sorry dude, in case you didn’t know, the Wedge came out around 2018. - It is a very fun Yoyo though! It was my favourite for a while and I own a bunch of them!

I have not really been buying yo-yos released in 2022 but am more curious what your go to yo-yos been! I need to think on this personally and will post my throws later.

The FH1 and BoltXP are all-time great yoyos in my book. The FH1 is pure fun and extremely well executed. I’ve already said my piece on the BoltXP, but I think it is a contender for the best Delrin yoyo ever created. The only other yoyo released this year that stands out as much as these two for me is the GOPA - picking up the GOPA is similar to picking up a Collapsar despite being at opposite ends of the spectrum of “weird” - it makes all of my other yoyos feel different after throwing it. I don’t often encounter yoyos that change my perspective so drastically.

My favorite has switched to a La’Grange and my RBC. I have them both on the desk for easy access.

25 dollar plastic reminding us that we don’t need anything more than this for most of our tricks. A yoyo to keep you honest with your tricks. A yoyo to remain a simple toy while also being a vehicle for so much more. Something for seasoned veterans at the peak of yoyo skill to enjoy, and something for complete beginners to enjoy. It’s a yoyo for everybody, and there’s going to be a colorway that appeals to everybody. It’s as much a piece of yoyo history to display as it is a yoyo that will remain fantastic to play for another 20 years. The editions honoring Steve Brown, and the late Danny and Paul are fantastic mementos to remember some of the players who set the stage for how we play yoyo now. The Freehand One just has such an insane amount of stuff going for it. Nothing else even comes close in my mind.

Favourite yoyo of 2022 for me is easily the new plastic fh, although technically it was released late 2021.
