They could duplicate the b grade 07 888 and Iâd still be happy, lol
wooly markmonts, because it seems thereâs not enough for everyone that wants one
888 - I would love to see a return, seems like YYF has been using American factories again for some of their throws - be neat if @yyfben2.deactivated could have the old shops that done the 07 08 09 .11 do another run of an 888 variation - would love to see it
We still make yoyos at the same shop, specifically the mighty flea
888 has a legend we are happy to preserve, and lately we have payed homage to it annually but its a legend and the time, place and innovation then cannot be replicated. the intangibles wonât be there even if the yoyo is identically, so we will continue to honor the design in different ways without attempting to replicate it.
I would love to see a jds 888
See thatâs a great idea. A different interpretation.
Full respect for this - thank you @yyfben2.deactivated
Respect can eat my entire ⌠Joking, I just miss the 07 888 and itâs fixable, I just have to hunt the BST.
And Ben did a huge solid for us 888 lovers with the titanium version, which I will also hunt down.
Iâm with ya on this.
I can see the appeal to make new throws, and One Drop has been releasing tons of new designs and killing it.
But they also reissue some older throws in with those releases which is nice. My question is that I canât understand how they choose what to reissue. Theyâll reissue the Deep State, Fat tire, or 1to1 multiple times within a 2-3 year span. But never once reissue a Top Deck, Cascade, Overture, 5KQV, or Prescription, etc. within that time frame.
Personally, I donât have a major issue with it as Iâm content with collecting at a slow pace, enjoying what I already own. But looking at it from a sales perspective if I was someone less patient, or had more money to invest in the hobby I wouldâve collected everything I wanted from OD already using the BST, which equates to OD losing out on sales. I mean, Iâve been waiting 4+ years for a Kuntosh 5KQV to drop and it looks like Iâm in for another 4+ years going by their track record of late.
OD website also lists what yoyoâs are officially retired⌠Things like the Rally, Sakura SE, or Benchmark Series are labeled as such, however the Format C, Valor, Summit, or Chik! from that same timeframe all donât have that label. (Diorama is added for anyone interested)
Also to stay on topic. DRI-YWET. Itâs the dream end goal throw for me.
Never noticed that Onedrop listed some throws as retired. Soon as you said that I checked on the M1, lol, and itâs retired.
Good to see the OG Project is still possible. I hope they do an anniversary run in November again at some point.
Also saw the dingo and Cabal are possible for a comeback which is nice
Haha, I only noticed because I made up a list of everything I wanted to collect from them when I came back a few years ago and spent a day or two on their site.
I would love, to grab a Silver plated OG Project brand spankinâ new from OD.
Would be cool to see some of these older designs re-released with a âLegendary Terrarianâ sort of approach too. AL7 and a bit more umph.
Freehand Zero will forever be my favorite Yo-yo.
Project. For the win.
And if I play my cards right, 7075.
One drop cascade, clyw bear vs man 2, and the yoyojam diamondback
I would buy this YoYo
I think the skyline small bearing was best,
Nightmoves 5
I couldnât help but laugh and cry at the same time.
