My favorite is the ClashCube, but I doubt that’ll be the case for most.
As far as performance goes, I think the Sleipnir and Draupnir are at the very top. When it comes to pure, unadulterated fun, the Fragment and Uragment win hands-down.

that’s what I thought.
I only own a Triplet, so…
If my Triplet is this awesome, I wonder how good some of these more popular YYR are.
Never owned a YYR, but I did try a random YYR out of someone’s case (they offered me to try whatever I wanted). I’m pretty sure it was a DreadnoughtG, because it felt like I was dragging a boulder through the air. I certainly won’t be investing in one of those any time soon. I also briefly tried A Soviet Locust’s Acrophobia. I don’t remember much about it, other than that it was floaty and I liked it.

The DreadnoughtG is definitely not for everyone. It was made to be maneuverable enough to actually use, but solid and stable enough to just sit on the end of the string while you figure out what you’re doing during a trick. I’ve been able to do 90 second combos with a DreadnoughtG and still bind with enough force to surprise me. As far as conventional play, though, it fails on every possible level. Only look into getting one if you want a yoyo that will make it incredibly easy to learn new tricks on, but can’t actually perform those tricks with any speed. That isn’t to say its one of those “sleeper specialist” yoyos, but it certainly isn’t something you’d want to bring on stage expecting to move quickly.
But seriously the best YYR is going to be entirely dependent on your preferences. They have something for everyone. Small, medium, large, light, heavy, wide, narrow, etc. Decide what kind of yoyo you like, then find the YYR that match your criteria and go from there. Having played pretty much every YYR made, i’ll say my favorites are the Draupnir, PerfectStar, and Uragment, but they’re all so good i can’t really choose, and i like lighter yoyos whereas a lot of other people prefer heavier ones like the Gleipnir, Z-ON, Stargeyser, etc.
