The first time I saw a Nacho Libre was on a flight from Texas to Cozumel. It played on the seat back monitor, but I couldn’t actually hear any of the audio because I was too cheap to pay for special earphones in order to hear it.
I was so very confused that whole time
I eventually did get to see it with audio, and I would have to agree, it was pretty good- in a good “bad” movie kind of way.
Favorite scene that gets quoted often (usually with my kiddos):
Hey same here! Absolutely amazing mini series so far - it’s cool seeing a lot of finer points that you don’t typically learn about. Or even just learning about smaller parts of the show like the Soviet-Afghan war.
Last Nights bedtime movie - Gnome Alone cartoon style animation and truly dreadful, on a par with Rim of the World.
From now on if a film is really awful i’m just going to call it a Rim movie, which on so many levels is truly descriptive. I wonder if the movie makers realised they would be creating another word for movie awfulness.
Watched the Halloween sequel that came out last year. It was fairly predictable, as those movies go. Felt more like a B movie on ScyFy than a big production with big name actors. Not that that’s a bad thing - some of my favorite movies are ScyFy B movies. However, what I really enjoyed was the presence of a yoyo!
At a point three of the characters go down into this basement/prepper room, and there’s a metal yoyo sitting there that the one guy picks up and starts to throw. I couldn’t tell what it was, but it seemed to be playing responsive. I’ll see if I can find the scene and maybe we can identify the yoyo here on the forums lol.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to send you on a wild goose chase! I was just pointing out a related thread. I thought I be remembered at least some theories, but I should have disclaimed.
