What did you get in the mail this week (2013-2018)

Beautiful Arctic Circle

Bape.2 and a YYR Blink.

Nice!

Sorry for the bad lighting. Really excited about getting these today, opened them at my girlfriend’s place and payed more attention to the throws than her for a little while! hahah.

Anyways: Ghost Rain Benchmark V, Unengraved Blue Mist Prestige, Blue E Cig Kit I traded my MVP for! (Now hopefully I can slow down and eventually quit smoking!)

Aaannndd Ive gotten all of them! I LOOOVE the GBA SOOOO much! This yoyo should be the benchmark for what yoyos are to be made like! Seriously the Irony’s are the best yoyos on the market.

And dont ecigs use nicotine?

What does GBA stand for?

All i can think of is Game Boy Advanced.

The GBA is the first Irony Werrd ever made. GBA stands for Guilty by Association.

And more coming on Thursday/Friday…

Got a Red 2014 Superstar today and YoyoBrothers is sending me a shirt that I’m super psyched for

I got an Eternal Throw Victory from a trade, I initially didn’t like it but after a day of use and throwing a 10-ball in it (it had a CT) it’s really growing on me. Very light, my first yo-yo with side effects.

Finally got our hands on a nice one.
ILYY Lynx!

I want my Lynx back so bad… ;~;

James Reed colorway General Yo Amplitude.
;D ;D ;D

I got an ultrasonic cleaner and a MagicYoyo T6 from amazon. The T6 is fun, shape is just like my PGM but undersized. Plays nicely, very solid and smooth. The ultrasonic cleaner has been used so far on jewelry and my raw/polished 888, made it sparkle! I’m going to use the cleaner on bearings too, just need to figure out the best technique.

I’m in the market for one myself. Cleaner that is.

Interesting idea, but I can’t imagine it would do a better job than acetone for bearings…

basepi

It can be used at least two different ways for bearings:

  1. With a degreasing detergent to do the work acetone would normally do… Frank Difeo recommends Bio-Green for bearing cleaning in general, and it will work in the ultrasonic cleaner for a one-two punch.

  2. With plain ol’ water for the “getting debris out of there” stage, before or after (or both) the acetone stage. So, you’d use it and ALSO acetone.

I do 3 steps lately, but you probably don’t need to… 1. Bio-Green in ultrasonic. 2. water to displace the detergent and blast/spin as much water out as I can; 3. acetone to displace remaining water, remove any remaining organics, and because it dries quickly. I still blast/spin (careful what you’re aiming at!) to get rid of as much as I can first.

You could probably use plain old soap (in small amounts) and water in the ultrasonic cleaner. PERIOD. And get satisfactory results.

Dang, that’s quite the process. But no doubt you end up with he cleanest bearings around!

Do you run them dry afterwards or a drop of lube?

Pin drop of lube unless you want to murder your bearing
