What did you get in the mail, 2022?

All modern yoyos are so much fun it’s hard to really pick standouts, but the 000 really is an outlier (with all due respect to Brandon Vu).

I definitely am. I’m loving the yoyo. The string is really nice, too. A whole interesting set of bearings to try, but I don’t imagine it’ll be anything but unique with any of them.

My deals came in! Was very careful to not flood my mail box (or give my wallet a heart attack)

I haven’t posted a Mailday in a while, but this one was really anticipated. A ton of throws were waiting on some fresh laces, and the Trion Crash with Thriller (Remix) is a match made in Chattanooga! Thanks again @BadWolfeCo !

Awesome! Definitely each bearing makes the yoyo playing differently. So far most people like either the fixed one or the 3 mm responsive one. Curious to know which one you will like the most…

I’ve never seen one of these fixed bearings. I’ll try that and the responsive today. Yesterday, it was all unresponsive, and I was impressed. I love it.

I’m not a fixed bearing fan, but this is up next. The idea is so interesting, and the package including all these different styles to try is how every yoyo should be.

Yes, you probably have not seen them as they are our own fixed bearing design. Hope you like the fixie mode.

It’s a beautiful yoyo. In so many ways. Thanks a lot. I’d be proud of this one if I’d created it.

Is it meant to be played with the same axle with the smaller bearings?

There should be 2 axels included use the smaller axel for the fixed blank bearing.

@jp_728 as @AKYOYOMIKE mentioned, there are 2 axles included with the El MiJo:

8 mm: which goes with the slim and fixed bearing.
10 mm: which goes with the wider bearing.

This one is fun. Quick question though: the exploded diagram on the package insert shows two spacers, one on each side of the bearing - but I don’t have any spacers anywhere. I don’t know that I need any, but I am curious. Was this changed? The plastic bearing seats look pretty much like the ones on my other throws, and appear to be part of the plastic body.

OK - I see I DO have spacers, but since they’re black, they’re pretty much indistinguishable from the yoyo body. So the next question - how could you possibly use this throw without the spacers? Double-stack A bearings?

I often run into something that seems like nonsense with a Duncan yoyo. I’m not sure what the answer to your question is, but I can say the frustration of these kinds of questions are nothing new with their yoyos for me. Enjoy the playing.

I dont think youre intended to. The spacers act as the bearing post

That’s sure what it looks like to me - but makes me wonder why the are a separate part instead of just molded into the body.

I think it’s either cost or marketability. How functional your yoyo is in play doesn’t seem to me to be primary for them.

Metal spacers on plastic body yoyos are very common. I’m not sure why you’re dragging Duncan for using them. Like every offstring yoyo uses spacers. C3 and Mowl also use them, as well as other companies putting out expensive plastic/hybrid yoyos.
