it’s functionally the same thing, unless there’s also a bearing in that top cap like a nine dragons. IIRC the gemstone just has an extended part to make spintop / tricks like that much easier. Not to take anything away from the ridiculously cool out of the box design.

Yeah it’s just an extended cap. You can do the same with the stuntpegs on e.g. the Magicyoyo LM1 but minus the risk of accidentally landing the pegs on the string during regular play.

I went a bit crazy this month. Sold a decent amount though, so why not.
First off, I finally found a YoyoGuy black star case in amazing condition. I’ve wanted one of these since they release and never though I’d even see one again. Filled it with my 15 favorites

How have you been liking the soft cube so far? I only bought one since I was a little hesitant about the material, but now I’m looking forward to a restock so I can have backups lol.

It’s pretty interesting. I like it I think. I love that I can have a cw yoyo in my pocket that doesn’t make a ton of noise. I haven’t noticed it affecting how I play, so I like it. Sucks to order it all the way from Japan but I think it was worth it.

I recently traded for this Atmos Noah. The response stuck out into the gap a little, so I replaced the pads with some excellent 3M pads a friend of mine made. It spins longer now. It’s a gorgeous yoyo, imo, especially with these side effects. Plays nice, and it dead spins for a long time. Good design.

I can’t put it down. Love at first throw! It plays kind of dense but I wouldn’t say its super heavy feeling. It has a TON of power, its actually crazy how it can get through tricks. Its not the fastest yoyo out there but if lighting speed isnt what you are looking for, this throw is super capable with an amazing feel on the string.

Partook in the YYF A-May-Zing sale, and snagged a few new throws.
American Liberte in the brown/blue wash color. I wish the photos did the yoyo justice, very deep colors. Super fun, love the play feel (especially in the hand) and weight distribution is real nice. Honestly the fingerspin caps feel like cheating. Plan on making this an “out and about” yoyo that I don’t care about dinging, and the caps make it an easy people-impresser lol.
Black on Black iQ, wow this thing is good. Fast, powerful, wide, and crazy smooth. Love the feel of the blasted rims too.
I also snagged the R-Type (how I got the BOB iQ), but gifted that to a coworker who expressed serious interest in yoyoing after our company Duncan Butterfly XT swag gifts came.
