It’s not officially out yet so I don’t want to spoil too much. I bought mine at the Meet two days ago where the maker (Arc1) did a pre-release.
But yes, mini hybrid and it’s pretty dang cool.

Palm grinds like that were actually a thing before finger spins iiuc. @Palli has been doing them for over a decade at this point iirc 
and there’s an example in this FS from 2011; no helix-style string winding or anything, but the ideas were there.
