Maybe it’s in my head :man_shrugging:

I stand by it.

Yellow bathysphere is the superior bathysphere.

I am unlikely to change the side effects because aesthetics

It’s an awesome throw. Plays a bit like the Beater, maybe a tad lighter but similarly stable for an organic.

I agree fully, as far as the yellow bathy is concerned.

However, laser and über, get the switch out from time to time.

I’ve been wanting to try a beater. Do you prefer one over the other?

I haven’t had the Bathysphere long but think I might prefer it slightly. The Beater is easily in my top 5 unresponsives so I guess Bathysphere is probably there too…

It just dawned on me. My laser fade and Uber ywet are both technically b-grades. My yellow is the only a-grade. I suppose that could have something to do with it. Although, I’m pretty sure laser fade was only b-grade for ano.

Na bro I feel you on the set up thing. Yo-yos are crazy like that. I normally always swap out the bearing and string to start exploring different setups anytime a yoyo comes with a center track or a flat bearing. Sometimes concave too. The only centertrac bearings that I consistently do not ever have to touch or change or my yoyo friends throws and the couple luftverks I’ve had. Those are by far the best centertracks I’ve ever used. Every single one of my yoyo friends yo-yos still has the original bearing. And I can’t say that for any other yoyo that originally came with a center track. Not cuz they suck but there not one of my favorite bearings so I just like to swap em to see if I can find a better feel for the yoyo. If I can tell right away that an yo-yos gna be special or be a favorite then it usually ends up with either a 5cut or ds. And experimenting with different strings to find a perfect match is one of my favorite things to do. Gotta let the yoyo pick it’s string for sure!

By the way as for set ups for the bathy! Originally the first thing I tried was ultra lights and really dug it with the raspberry/pink!

But my current setup is orange lego lights! Omg this thing is dreamy right now! Gna leave this way for a min

Excuse the long nails :nail_care:

I had a laserfade and now have the blue with white splash one. I havent tried them side by side but dont feel any major differences from what I remember haha😅
Possible you can feel the difference and I cant, could be a billion things, off bearing, off pads(both of the ones I got have been slippy as hell!)

Mine always start out slippy too. Actually, every TRT throw I’ve ever gotten has started out slippy. My theory is that, since they are designing and testing these in Florida, where it’s very hot, they are using harder pads. I swear it plays better once you warm the pads up a bit. I also find that playing it with some thick poly for the first couple hours seems to break the pads in and give much better response. Both of my new ones are playing perfectly now, with my bougie string.

My bathy wasn’t slippy but my new cenote was crazy slippy!!! Like slippy I’ve never felt. But I flipped it into a positive. Cuz all that means is that I got a yoyo that’s gna want a fatty string! And it finally gave me the perfect reason to finally pull out a nitro+!! Not many yo-yos can handle nitro+ and still play perfectly without getting at least a tiny bit snaggy. But with the slippy cenote it’s literally a match made in heaven. I’d even call it a perfect setup. And that’s super awesome to me cuz I love that string but don’t get to use it often and definitely never thought I’d get to use it on one of my favorite slim highwalled organics! Let alone have it be a perfect setup. I think people are too quick to try changing out the response but you just haven’t found the right string is all.
