Yes, for all of you students out there, please be diligent about your remote learning, or you’ll be going back to school in the fall with a pretty wide learning gap.

my wife teaches third grade, and my son is in third grade. however, she is still working from home, and i’m off… and the boy is well beyond his level. so, this gives us the opportunity to provide a more advanced and self-directed curriculum, and i can take over as well. i’m an engineer, so performing and developing hands-on learning labs has been great… plus, being able to go beyond what they would provide in a normal curriculum, and taking advantage of the 1-on-1 time is fruitful.

So far, worked on another project for work this morning (yay remote work), complete with a cat on the lap. “Take your cat to work day” anyone? As I wait for the next item, I’m cycling through some throws to see which throw I feel like today. May learn a new trick later today too (or finish what I was beginning to learn).

Also aimlessly looking at YYE’s forums to see what’s new or if anything on the BST catches my eye (though I rarely do the BST, have only done it a couple of times years ago). Contemplating putting up a thread of throws that I’ve been eyeballing…SPYY, looking at you…spyder 2, stryker?

i’m going to be honest, i am learning, and i attend a everyday meeting for school, but the problem is that a good portion of the world is in the same boat as i am, meaning that not only students will have to be flexible next year, but school curriculum will also have to be flexible, i do not enjoy this as much as many would suspect, and i am trying to study hard, but with the teachers expectations of three hours a day, and low expectation for work effort, it feels as if break is already here

OMG
Just watched playing the game !!! threat level, commited to quest, progress tokens, +1 attack strength, encounter deck, damage counter, cards in staging area, aggggggggggggh, counter phase, quest deck,…computer says no…brain freezes… please help…reboot.
I’m 55 and can just about cope with hungry hippoes.

Perhaps when my brain gets rid of the flu virus i can rewatch and say “easy peasey lemon squeezey”. Joking aside i do fancy giving it a go.
Keep us informed on how you get on with it.

If your not enjoying it, change it. Try something different.
Pick something, anything, and research it. As a bad examplel take a blade of grass in the local park. Type, species, is it native, hybrid, whys it green, how much water does it need ? root depth, blades per sq/ft , volume of earth required (not even sure if some of these are valid questions) You could ask question after question, the reasearch involved in some of the simpliest of things is in itself education.

I’ve done lots of different jobs to make my way in the world. At present it mainly involves cleaning up childrens vomit / pee, etc… etc in a primary school. :grinning: But its one of the most satisfying jobs i’ve ever had… go figure

Maybe you should consider being a nurse, seriously. My best friends son has a business degree and lots of good opportunities. One day he came home and said “This is not my heart’s calling. I’m going back to school to be a nurse.” Now he is an emergency room nurse and loves it. His wife is a nurse down the street at another hospital. It takes a special mind and heart to be a nurse.

Steam has the digital version on sale for $10. I bought it to help me learn. Hopefully the digital version will be close to the board game.
