What’s it about?

Fiction, action/suspense. CIA, drug cartels, the Taliban, violence, smuggling. Fun read. Very engaging!

Sounds interesting! I like that type of book although I usually prefer it to be history instead of historical fiction.

Fear and loathing on the campaign trail ‘72 by Hunter S Thompson

I’ve read most of his books. Never fails to make me laugh. Too bad he’s gone. I would love to hear his thoughts on the world we’re living in now.

I’ve been reading through Proverbs recently.

Cross post from the what are you throwing thread bc I don’t feel like taking another photo right now but I’ve been reading wind and truth by Brandon Sanderson. It’s epic fantasy with good world building. This fifth book just dropped and it’s so good. Things are coming together and we’re getting answers to questions that came up long ago.

I pretty much just read epic fantasy or sleazy airport thrillers/ who done it murder mysteries. No hard literature for me.

been working through this to brush up on general existentialist attitudes, planning on reading the parts of Merleau-Ponty’s Phenomenology of Perception that were skipped in class. lots of existentialism/phenomenology in my future

the entire world is kind of contained in it, everything is at stake, it’s philosophy. it’s impossible to not learn something interesting

I’m currently bouncing between the Thrawn Ascendancy trilogy, Clan of the Cave Bear, and getting around to reading a signed copy of iWoz from an eBay auction I sniped a while back. In my adult life, dyslexia has made it very difficult to read any book to completion. As a child, we had Pizza Hut coupons, I had NO PROBLEM reading for Pizza Hut.

It’s about him following the 72 presidential campaign. I just started reading it so I’m not sure what exactly happens, but I’m sure it’ll be crazy.
