Wow… Who’d have thought that generosity would have resulted in this? Glad you got it sorted though.
yeah bud youre right there, hes never known any thing else. thats just the way id feel thats all. any way, if you were evicted you could move in the with cat, sounds like youve built him a nice little pad.
I have to wake him up in the morning to feed him. When he comes out of his house his fur is toasty warm. A couple ladies in my small building talk to him and if they are sitting down outside he will lay down by them.
Thats amazing, hes so lucky to have bumped into you that day. looks to me like hes got a fantastic life, thanks to you. you should be proud.
I’m lucky I bumped into HIM. Almost exactly a year before our first meeting my first cat, Joshua died. We lived alone together for almost 19 years and I was devastated. A photo of him is my profile pic.
thats heartbreaking Chris. Its horrendous to lose a pet, I know where youre coming from. Looks like a lovely companion. sorry for your loss bud.
glad you found the new one to take away the hurt a little…
OH!
Can I come over and play!!?
Went out this morning to grab a few needed items at the store, seems like the TP pandemic is starting to slowly diminish as stores are finally strongly enforcing the “1 per household” on a huge laundry list of items…I could swear I heard over the PA that birthday cakes were also limit 1 per household…don’t ask why that would be lol
Came home, grabbed lunch and shortly after I finished lunch, I found out that I broke a pretty large filling…so had to schedule a dental appt to get this fixed asap as much as I was trying to avoid any dental visits at this time.
Shortly after that, found out that my neighbor was taken off to the hospital due to that covid-19…he’s had symptoms for a bit but getting tested and treated appropriately for it was denied…
Finished out the evening with working on a few yoyo tricks…other than that, it’s definitely a Monday even though it’s not a work day…Monday things still happen…
I guess parents of twins save money by putting two names on one cake. Sorry about your tooth!
Well as of today I am working from home! This means plenty of yoyo time! Yay!!!
Also looking back through I see a few people talking about cursive writing and initially I paid no attention because I thought it was some new thing that kids were into or something but… it’s just ‘joined up’ writing innit? Like what I learnt as a kid at school. This is a ‘thing’ now for people?
I THINK some schools are teaching it. At work I saw a college kid with a gridded journal practicing to write each letter in cursive. Like an entire page of each letter. At first it was funny, like, are you KIDDING?!? But cursive writing had gotten lost as kids grow up in school doing all writing on tablets or laptops. Being able to express thoughts and ideas with non-electronic means got lost so I think it’s great. Back in the mid-80’s the punk zine Flipside had a section for people to get pen pals. I had a few and we wrote letters to each other. REAL handwritten letters. It would take 2 wks to get a reply. ANY kind of handwriting is great an art lost in this mainly digital communication age.
Man, I forgot what an amazing solo/solitaire experience the Lord Of The Rings living card game is!
Years ago I bought a few starter sets and 10’ish expansions for the game…and damn it’s a thrilling game!
I use to do 1 scenario/expansion at a time…and each expansion came with new cards you could add to your deck…I wouldn’t add any of the cards until I played that expansion.
Well now I’m going through the game again…but I’m left with a couple of old decks that have tons of powerful cards from all the expansions I played…and my goodness they’re powerful! haha…I’m drawing a ton of cards each turn, creating TONS of resources to play all the cards and bringing out a ton of really powerful allies! Tons of fun!
And it’s SO thematic! Aragorn is a ridiculous bad—…Gandolf shows up when things are going south and only stays for a very brief moment…but when he does show up he often turns the tides (just like in the books!)…and though I’m only a couple of scenarios in so far…I’ve been chased down by giant spiders, have slayed some pesky goblins and smelly orcs and have had to dreadfully make my way through dark forests with unknown dangers at every step.
Fun times! It’s been years since I’ve picked this game up!
Never tried it. Been watching the movies the past few days. Notice that Amazon has a bunch in stock. Which expansions do you recommend to start out?
Man, what a rough Monday @AngryGumball . Dentist scare me so bad.
And it’s also scary that your neighbor has covid-19.
I’m lucky to live in an area where it’s not all over the place yet.
I’d start with the first few small expansions they came out with (lol there’s SO many expansions for this game!)…
The first 6 small expansions were:
The Hunt For Gollom
Conflict At The Carrock
A Journey To Rhosgobel
The Hills Of Emyn Muil
The Dead Marshes
Return To Mirkwood
They were released in this order.
As far as big expansions…I only have a couple. The Khazad-Dum expansion is a lot of fun if you like dwarves…and the only other one I own is the Black Riders expansion. This is a great one if you really like the movies…it really captures the movies/books well. It’s all about the journey of the hobits sneaking out of the shire while being chased down by the nazgul.
Or if you really like hobbits and the hobbit book and movies…there’s also the Hobbit Expansion (there’s 2).
Here’s a link to the boardgamegeek entry for this game:
Tonight San Antonio goes on lock down.
Today I have to decide which of my employees are most productive and necessary to keep the store running and offer the others the option of remaining at less than 10 hours a week or being let go.
FML I’m stressed out today. Time for more happy pills.
That is tuff. I have no employees but i managed a paper route when i was a teenager… only time i had to fire someone.
Sorry that wasn’t funny. I feel that heart is sometimes not appropriate for the message. Good luck.
Appreciated.
I’d been considering how the heart should not just mean " like", but is more a symbol of support.
“I. May not love this. But I still am with you on it.”
