What are you doing today?

Cheers buddy! Although I have a condition which effects my lungs due to the nature of my job and the fact that after tomorrow a lot less people will be around I will be effectively working from home most of the time. All isn’t too bad!

This Thing is getting scary. I can go out for walks around my apartment complex since it’s rural and I won’t really be near anyone - and the feral cat, Buddy, who I befriended 5 years ago walks with me. I had him fixed, shots, vet appts., he’s very healthy and I made him a house that is very warm and filled with straw. I’m 54 years old and never filed for unemployment in my life but now I am on pins and needles waiting to hear from my employer if I will be laid off and for how long. I am being paid for the days I was sent home this week but can’t file for UC until I know what’s going on. I have 3 weeks of food and 2 years worth of yoyo string but I am still riddled with anxiety. Everyone - please stay safe!

@twitch77 I forgot to mention he is an outdoor cat. No pets allowed in apartments anymore. He walks with me like a dog would. I made his house out of heavy black plastic totes that I insulated and is protected by evergreens right outside my apartment against the building but kinda hidden. I have to wake him up in the morning for his breakfast. Is he a cat a dog or a child? I guess a little of all of them.

Is he tame with you? Does he let you hold him?
How long have you known him?
He’s lucky to have someone who cares for him!

In March 2014 I saw him by the dumpster. Never saw him before. I told him to stay where he was and I’d bring him some food. I was going out to buy ice cream. When I got back 30 minutes later he was still sitting there. I gave him a plate of cat food. 6 years and $2,000 of vet bills later here we are! When I pull up at night he is sitting at the end of the walkway and walks me to my door where I pick him up and hold him and show him some love. After I feed him he sits in my lap while I comb him. He loves it. In the afternoon I will say “let’s go for a walk” and we will walk around near the wooded area behind my apartment building. The only thing he does not like is the Revolution flea and tick medication I put on the back of his neck once a month.

What tricks i can practice during stay at home times.
What can i make in the shed during lockdowns (might not be enforced)
Trying to figure whats going to happen at work seeing as the schools are shutting tommorow.
Interesting times, any suggestions ?

Day 3 of self quarantine - man I have never felt so lazy in a while. I slept in til 10:45 (normally 8:30/9 is “sleeping in” for me). Got myself up finally, freshened up/got myself together and helped my brother with his unemployment (as he was displaced from work due to covid19 - fortunately my job is paying for the time that I’m out though I imagine this isn’t helping the company any)…then decided to impulse learn a trick that popped up on my Youtube feed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O8-DDwQvKQ

With no errands to run today (got plenty of food and other necessities to get by, car is back from the shop) I may as well grind away at the above trick until I get it smooth.

11 years ago I took in a neighborhood kitten. He liked being around people but I was the only one that was allowed to hold him. He also HATED having flea medication put on the back of his neck. You would think that I was spraying him with a water hose.

I’m glad about your pay! I’m feeling lazy too. Just found out I will not be called back before April 3rd but my company will be paying me! I too was messing around with new tricks / moves. I’m still only into frontstyle but like experimenting with weird string plucks and altering established tricks into new tricks. Starting tomorrow I will establish more of a daily routine since going to work will not provide a structure for my day. Stay well!

Was just going through my old, brain dead tricks but my skin is getting irritated/raw. Anyone else have this issue?

Edit: I have one of those new nylon gloves in stock here at YYE on the way

So I took a break to actually relearn cursive like I keep saying I will.

i love and hate cursive. i love it because it looks beautiful, and i hate it because it’s difficult to make it look beautiful. and after a page of it, my hand hurts quite a bit.

Okay, not a full effort but is there really a limit to likes? I’m gonna be here ALL day and I have to ration my likes?
