What are you doing today?

I was practicing on my subway commute minding my own… when some guy named paul starts a conversation. Turns out he used to throw 10yrs ago. So i gave him my N12 to try and he threw a solid braintwister. I told him about this site, binding tutorials. And i gifted him the yoyo.

I knew the was a reason i made a half swap.
Welcome back Paul!

Working all day. Two forks and two rear shocks serviced. Then pick the kids up from school and making them food. Posting out sales items.

Typical day.

My G2 mystery box came and it’s straight up for trade or sale. One of the yo-yos was a teal colour. I hate teal. With a passion.

Went to a “Season Preview” at my local amusement park/work place (as a guest) tonight to partake in a couple of rides, food tasting, and see guest reaction to what we have in store for this year. Binge ate sampler fish tacos as they were really good, took in a complementary ride on the park’s “Sky Coaster” (those big arch things you see at the parks where you ride on your stomach and swing about after pulling a ripcord…they’re terrifying!), and lastly lost a yoyo on a roller coaster.

I had a keychain Duncan Imperial hooked on my car keys that were hooked onto my carabiner. Thankfully my car keys weren’t going anywhere (I’ve lost my keys on this same coaster last year and found them a week later) but when cresting one of the hills I’m pretty sure the yoyo was yanked right out of its key ring.

I could swear I heard another guest afterwards say something about a yoyo…if they found it, congrats! Welcome to the world of yoyo and enjoy! Otherwise, I’ll check around the ride area monday and see if it survived being flung off this crazy ride.

Getting my kitchen and bathroom sink pipes replaced today. There’s nothing wrong with them…they’re just old and they’re replacing all the apartment’s pipes with newer ones this month.

Deep fried 4 pounds of bacon and put it in the freezer. Love pulling bacon out of the freezer for breakfast. I use a Frydaddy Grandpappy with the oil a about 1 inch below the fill line, then fry 8 slices at a time. You have to keep the oil low because the high water content in most bacon makes the oil bubble when frying. You also have to limit yourself to frying 8 slices for the same reason. I prefer frying to baking it. Bacon has a lot of additives and most of the junk dissolves into the oil when you fry it. When baking bacon, the additives just lay on the bacon and give it a grainy coating. Grease is not a concern because I layer it in a lot of paper towels after frying.
