That’s me btw.
Tried to rollerblade 3 miles today…I reached 2.75 before my legs went into meltdown mode. Was a little demotivational, realizing I’m not as young as I used to be. Just gotta keep grinding at this as I’m 2 consistent weeks into skating 5 days/week. Just not sure if it really should take this long to get acclimated to skating? Learned today that a lot of 35-year-old out-of-shape folks have recently reunited with their childhood pastime. They’re stuck at home like I am so why not?
Today was feeding day for my snek - a successful feeding and quick feeding response is very satisfying (She feeds in a separate container, she knows what’s up when I move her into the plastic tub).
Jeez, that’s still wet behind the ears…
Sounds like a place you can go for comfort food, and it has people who know you.
Today - found out that trying to remain positive in 2020 is just a hard slap in the face…saw it coming but tried to hold out “hope” that I’d be able to return to work this year but sadly, my job just announced that they will not be opening this year. Pretty upsetting but honestly, not surprising as California is a hot mess with new cases.
That sucks man. California sucks right now!
Sorry to hear that! I hope you can go thru this without damage. Keep positive!
Man, that’s really rough @AngryGumball, sorry to hear
Had a chat with my boss this morning regarding my job not opening up this year and some encouraging news - my position still exists so I technically do not “not have a job”…it’s still just on pause for the time being. When we do open, he looks forward to working with me on things and I made it a point to him that I’m not giving up, this is just a job I enjoy/value way too much to just leave.
Aside from that, went out for another 3 mile skate and noticing minuscule but noticeable progress as my stamina slowly increases.
Oh, and Slinkers says hi
Card reader crapped out on my Switch About a month ago. Gonna try and track down a new machine since the wife has approved the purchase.
Hi Slinky-Dinks!
Hey guys, so today I am going to be a counselor at a two night summer camp at a lake that my church is putting on. Don’t worry, planning on bringing a yoyo to lighten the mood a little bit. However I probably will not have WiFi the next 2 nights so I won’t be on the Forums until Saturday. How will I survive??
Bring 2 yoyos. I hope you have fun!
I think giving up Wifi for a few days is worth it to be a counselor. Have fun!
I’m reading this at work, and plotting my escape.
You have a lake, so no WiFi no problem!
Cell service maybe?
