What are you doing today?

She’s going to be 5 next month… she did all the work. We use plastic counters as well to make it tactile. We have been working on math since the corona started. I use a system called happy numbers online. I add a bit of my own.
Short answer yes she can.
Proud papa here :grinning:

The average 4 year old won’t comprehend that, but it probably wouldn’t hurt to try.

Kicked my 2 mile skate up to a 3 mile. I felt ready for it. I do still have to stop for a few minutes between (as my feet were killing me that first mile). At the end of my 3rd mile and my mental victory, I nearly fell flat on my butt…thankfully I was able to save myself

Even my cat was shocked!

Had a 4 hour yoyo session today. My middle finger still feels like it is being tugged by the string.

Today I’m headed to bed early!
I’ve had insomnia since I can remember and over the last 6 months it flared up real bad. Finally threw in the white towel and had my pill lady doc adjust some meds for me.
Been almost a month now and my sleep is damn near fixed at this point! I’m able to fall asleep, stay asleep and go back to sleep!

Goodnight peeps!

Taking it easy kind of day today - had gone to grab lunch (my local McD’s does allow walk-in which is generally easier to do than drive up, shorter wait). While I was waiting for my order however, I was messing with my Custom Reactor and doing kickflips/stalls. The guy was watching me and asked if I were a pro. He apparently picked up a yoyo at walmart just to mess around with, we both agreed that yoyoing is a great stress reliever during these times (regardless of if it’s busting out a combo or just making it go down and up).

I remember my sister teaching me to read, write and do math when I was barely 4. It gave me a head start in school, and started her towards a career as a teacher.

How’s Slinky-Dinks doing? I bet she looks beautiful after her first shedding!

Found a ukulele that I had lost. Went online and started lessons.

She’s doing great! Slink definitely looked like a brand new snake after she shed…shiny, vibrant…and hungry (I fed her that evening after her shed)

This morning, I went to another town’s post office to ask them if they had any info about my package, which didn’t move from their facility for the past 10 days according to the tracking.

Turns out, they had forgotten a full box of mail under a table and probably wouldn’t have noticed for 10 days more if I didn’t come.
They found my package inside that box.

They were all very nice, didn’t try to blame anyone but themselves (literally blaming each other lol) and just looked overwhelmed.
I’m just happy and relieved I finally got my Sunbird, and maybe unlocked some long awaited mail for whoever was expecting something from that box!!:partying_face:

Postal service in my subdivision is horrible. We have all complained and was finally told by the post master that our route is a swing route, meaning we don’t have a regular carrier. They keep delivering mail to the wrong addresses. I’ve put all my bills on autopay because I never know if I am going to get them. On the other hand, during mail swaps I have met neighbors on other blocks that I would never have met otherwise.

Yea! It is laundry day. I LOVE doing laundry. The smell of detergent. Handling wet towels. Digging through dirty underwear. Listening to the spin of the washer and dryer. Heating up the house in August. What could be better.

Also, I’m recovering from a yoyo accident. Hit myself in the head really hard with a metal yoyo. Don’t think it has had any affect. …

I <3 my nearest Taco Bell (30 miles away) haha
I was damn addicted to the place when my mom first passed away a few years ago. But after gaining a massive amount of weight I finally kicked the habit and only eat there once…sometimes twice…a month now.

Most of them know me by name, and the manager always comes out to greet me by name, then we usually chat for a few minutes to catch up with each other lol. She’s just a sweet older lady and I get a real kick out of her taking the time to come say hi.
She’s always busting her ■■■■■■■■■■■ keeps that place spotless.

And over all the years I’ve been going to this place, they’ve only messed my orders up once or twice in the past. That…and they’re very generous with their portions.

I was siting there waiting for my order listening to a song on the radio…when I remembered my mom. Her and I use to eat there quite a bit (which is why I got addicted to it after she passed) and I started to get all teared up :*(. Sunk in on me in the moment that she’ll never get to listen to music again.

Then the manager came out to come say her hi and to check in with me. She’s almost at 10 years working there :).
It was just nice. It’s nice to know you’re not alone and that people care.

No idea why I’m typing this here.
lol it’s also probably pretty sad considering how overweight I am…that I’m speaking so highly of a very unhealthy place I like to eat >.<’

I love you mom.

Almost done with today’s mission. I’ve been cleaning up my personal spaces at home, purging and organizing. I’m getting near the end goal. Today I want to get the cave to a point that I can set up the DJ booth.
I’m so close that I’m just running wires in the box right now, and that’s not a long process.:sunglasses:
