The heat where you live is pretty similiar to where I live. Many days of summer here get to over 105 degrees and there’s usually several days over 110.

See, more similarities between our homelands😁

We have way less guns though. Only farmers use those.

By the way, it took me over 3 hours to upload this to youtube.
It is kind of lengthy but oh well…

Just did a virtual memorial service for my friend that passed away on the 4th.

We’re all old club heads, so in the same vain as we would have had world events not taken in to play, we had a club style celebration.
My friend was a club promoter, so many DJs dancers, entertainers, and other club goers held a virtual service. With a couple live DJs mixing and many members of the scene doing LED and fire props, we threw down for our friend who now Grooves with the angels.

Seems like a battle between @Grendel and @Mystik for who has the most miserable temps this weekend. Hope you both are staying cool!

Nice.

I’m on my way to the Outer Banks of NC today for a family reunion. Planning on reading and (hopefully) throwing all week in-between swimming.

I miss the beach! I go to a college in San Diego and miss going to the beach with my friends. I’m going to the lake later though.

My brother in law runs a park out there on the coast with a lighthouse on it.

That’s really cool. I think I may have been there before—been a while since I’ve been here at the OBX.

My goals continue as I now decide to combat the quarantine gut (and I want to make myself a little more healthy/less at-risk) - last week I began the trek of putting in some laps on the rollerblades. After 3 laps around my neighborhood (3.5 laps = 1 mile), I was winded and pooped, feet were on fire…making foolish mistakes on the final stretch and nearly wiping out. I saw some signs of progress toward the end of the week with less fire in the feet and finished out with 4 laps as I wanted that mile complete.

Today was one of those days where I had a lot going on in my mind as it went down another covid-related rabbit hole of doom. Went out for another skate session and really kicked it up a notch with a 2-mile skate (with a couple minute breather between). Doom & Gloom daydreams changed to feeling like I did something useful and beneficial to my life and health. Now to continue getting myself conditioned, really want to see how it looks by the end of the week.
