Hopped on Planet Coaster for a bit working on one of my parks and decided it was finally time to do something active - pulled out the roller blades and skated a few laps in the neighborhood. Found out that I’m not as young as I used to be and I was sore/tired come lap 3, could feel myself getting clumsy…a sign to stop.
On the plus side, going out for that skate did take my mind off of rather rough subject matter as my mind was going down an inescapable rabbit hole of doom regarding pandemic and our future (and my frustrations with how polarized the pandemic has become, making any cooperation go out the door and prolonging many of us being jobless). Literally anything I was trying to do to distract myself from it was doing nothing until I went out for a few laps. I should do this more often (and get rid of that quarantine gut that’s starting to form)

I’d like to spend more time on the balcony. It is nice. I’m always working though. Not complaining. I think I’ll camp out there tonight. Thanks for recognizing Mystik!

Watching them do major surgery on my street. Replacing water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and gas lines. Great fun. My car is parked on a stree half a block away because there is a 2 ft deep hole in front of my driveway, water was off today for 7 hours (announced) then off again for 5 hours because whatever they replaced was massively leaking. It’s supposed to be done by fall. Judging by the street one block over that they started before ours, we’ll be lucky to be done by winter…

I was expecting a package from yoyoexpert today, but after checking my mail box twice there was nothing there!
