I believe they collaborated on a couple of things. Kotke recorded for Fahey’s Takoma label at one time.

Yes that’s why I mentioned Fahey too, but also just because of the descending lines throughout that particular Kottke tune - it’s a sound I strongly associate with Fahey’s music and I love it so.

Oh boy, the memories. Some good. Some bad. They influenced a lot of NYC and Boston bands with their guitar sound and HR’s vocal antics. The influence isn’t all obvious but it’s there. Bad Brains influenced the Cro Mags who influenced Youth of Today who influenced tons of bands across the country.
