im not saying that the butterfly was a bad yoyo, i was just saying that he probubly shouldnt have bought it from yyn cause the shipping is going to be more than the actual yoyo. and with my stories i did help them but in their arrogence they went strait to my level of yoyos and didnt get the skill they should have with a responsive yoyo
I honestly don’t think you should be talking about arrogance (because that’s how it’s spelled). Maybe if you guided them instead of just being arrogant, they wouldn’t have done that.
Like Pheenix said, New yoyoers need some kind of guidance. I would recommend explaining to them the steps it takes to go into unresponsive yoyoing:
Responsive yoyoing (Plastic + thick lube)
Binding (Recommend the same plastic but thin lubed)
Binding is great and he starts to understand the yoyo isn’t everything. (Bi-metal or metal)
The help him undertand that the yoyo isn’t everything, play with a plastic similar to his and show him you can do all the tricks on the “Fancy yoyo” with the Plastic.
With these steps, I am sure you can reduce their impulse of good yoyo=good player.
All in all, new yoyoers need to set goals that aren’t too far from them. Well, experienced yoyoers need to do that. But you need to teach them what is their limitation in yoyoing and how they can surpass it.
Im trying very hard to spread yoyoing… you guys are lucky… I wish I had posers at my school in which I could guide and maybe start a club or team or somthing…
I got my friend going with a kickside and he’s working on intermediate tricks…
I stopped one of my friends… I told him to check out this sight and he said he wanted to buy a BOSS… Im like wait a minute… lol
