Even though it won’t affect me (since I have one reserved, Woot! As long as you didn’t forget about me, at least!) I don’t think it’s a terrible idea. The Skywalkers were exclusive, letting you test the waters, and that went over well. You spread the Battosai out to multiple vendors, and that allowed your customers to have some retailer options, giving you broader advertising. I think on a small run like the Ti Walker, limiting retailers is ok. I think that as long as you don’t limit every run to 1 or 2 dealers, you’ll be fine. You have a great reputation and a loyal customer base, so I think the occasional dealer exclusive would be just fine.
Understandable. It’s a tough call. I guess it boils down to whether you’d prefer to let 8 or so different retailers have 8-10 units each, or 1 or 2 retailers have 35-40 units each. I’m sure the amount and rarity of the available colorways will have bearing on the decision, as well.
I wouldn’t mind if you only give them to 2 or 3 dealers, as this will probably stop people like me visiting the site till we have enough money and then 2 days after launch find that there are none left. But ifyou send mabye 20ish to afew dealers it might help just make sure you tell us them first. Just my thoughts probably not the most educated advise, so feel free to not do this but at least tell us where they’ll be for sale (so I can get 1 quick, lol) ;D
why would they raise the price? the whole face happens in one op. it doesnt add anything to the machining process…if each off shape costed more $$$ your infin8ty would be unaffordable as well
