The year of the 888 does not matter
I hope this is very unpopular
bi metals stank
tri-metals are NOT the next yoyo innovation
Not unpopular.
This idea died like 5 years ago, and it was never that popular in the first place lol
Man, you and I seem to but heads on everything don’t we?
From whether collecting is more important to throwing to even what the future of yoyo design looks like haha.
But seriously, try a shogun
Just out of curiosity, why?
Because it’s actually pretty uninformed. If the year of production means there are actual changes in the specs of the yoyo, then yeah, year does matter.
If there are no changes in specs over the different runs on 888’s produced in different years, then i could see how the opinion of “The year of the 888 does not matter” is true.
I know there are small changes for sure. But I’ll pay most of the people that care a lot about the 888 year $100 if they can tell a difference in a blind play test.
Paypal me
I’ll believe it when I see it
Too bad I only have the best one
idk. A gram off or a mm extra would def mess with the feel of my favorite yoyos. I bet the people who are paying lots of money for an specific version of the 888 are not doing it because the way that specific one plays lol
Flat bearings have there place.
In the trash.
…just kidding, just kidding
I like flat bearings in my 3a Yoyos
Hey that’s one way to look at it. I started on cheap fixed wood and metal axles so anything else is an improvement from those.
Oh yeah for sure. I don’t mind flag bearings unless I’m going for horizontal to be honest.
Good Lord, the flat yoyo bearings debate should become an argument of scholarly philosophical debate; it’ll rest in the great halls of academia, alongside the age old chicken or egg debate. Someone needs to write a dissertation about this lol.
PhD in Yoyo Philosophy and Engineering
I could do a research essay on it
