Mint throws are overrated.
Mark my words. My very first throw when I buy a Ti Vayder. Will be a spark.
I’m gonna unbox and first throw, record all that on camera
Or perhaps mint yoyos reflect a level of skill on behalf of the user? Because I don’t own any shelf queens. Not even my Kimmett signed Canvas is allowed to collect dust.
I’m waiting…
Are you saying you’re better than me CHAD!?
Your a bigger man than me. Took me about 2 hours, and I have a 2nd Grey one…
Absolute mint yoyos offer nothing other than a premium when you get rid of them. Even pros admit to dinging and dropping yoyos. Mint yoyos are ones not used. A couple dings don’t even affect the play. Plus dinging a mint yoyo sucks. Dinging a played with yoyo is just a ‘whatever, redo’.
Curious. You folks that say you want to spark your Vayder… if I told you that there were two models of the Vayder, both identical in look, feel and play, but one was $50 more because you can spark it. The cheaper one doesn’t spark.
Would you pay the additional $50 to buy the one that sparks?
Nope, just more civilized. ![]()
Nah I gotta draw a line there bro. Broke college student can’t afford that r u kiddin me
Well I hope you never find a need for money and have to sell your Vayder. Cause sparked is gonna surely bring you $50 less.
You should see my skateboard! It’s mint too, I’ve had it for a few weeks.
Kidding, of course. It’s not like I would be devastated if my TV did kiss the concrete eventually, but I think it is silly to purposefully damage a very nice brand new yoyo that I spent my hard earned money on.
That just don’t make no sense.
I don’t sell my yoyos, I buy to keep. I spark because it is fun. I also don’t view yoyos as an investment since they are toys to be played with, not some fancy collectors item to be traded. If I want to invest, ill buy stocks like the real affluent.
Yea, like comic books… I mean they are made to be read…
I have no qualms with damaging a fresh yoyo if its either somewhat cheap or I’m not expecting to sell it. If I wanna walk the dog I’m gonna walk the dog. Of course I’m not gonna abuse an Alu yoyo on concrete though, I wouldn’t want those mad nasty marks.
But if I wanna play outside over concrete imma do it. If I wanna play 3a I’m gonna play 3a.
I am careful with most my yoyos because I expect to flip them eventually and wouldn’t want to depreciate the value as @vegabomb stated.
But come on bro… first Ti, it’s the cheapest Ti, I wouldnt be expecting to sell it anytime soon. That shiz is getting sparked
obligatory
Just look at @eternalmetal’s picture. I actually couldn’t tell it was sparked at first and was confused
Collections as investments are lame imo. I grew up with my parents collecting coins and stamps and buying lotto tickets and beanie babies, etc, and when it all comes down to it, you arent making money on this stuff. I can make $140 in a few hours, why the hell should I care if I can sell it for the same 5 years later? Is this really a hobby where you can be lucrative? This yoyo will never be worth the same money as a vintage comic book in mint shape. Dont be silly.
You know what? I think you just changed my mind. I never thought about it like this. I think I’ll wait till tonight and record a vid of me sparking my TV.
Don’t be playin with me like this
And you were the one telling me to use the “/s” when expressing sarcasm ![]()
No, really. I’m serious. I think I’m gonna do it.
